The room was clean & the staff were lovely. The only thing I would say that wasn’t so good that knocked the score down was the exactor fan in the bathroom was coming off the ceiling & the drainage in the shower wasn’t so good. The first water was pooling at the other end of the shower to where the drain was.

I’d recommend this hotel with a couple of caveats and if you’re ok with them then go for it. The location is good (a few mins walk from Mile End tube) good nearby eateries (Nandos, Subway, Coop local) to get a meal or snack from. Rooms are clean and the bed is super comfortable even in the single room. The bottled water in the room is a nice touch. Just be prepared that it won’t feel like a hotel chain, hotel is a bit dated rooms are small, and are over a pub so it’s noisy until about 2330 and has a different vibe. All that said, I’d definitely stay there again. It’s well priced compared to other similar standard hotels in the area 👍

Very nice and good location not far from Mile End tube station in the East End of London. Friendly staff. It is a bar but it is very quiet in the rooms. Small but cosy. My second stay here and price is reasonable

Great pub underneath with super friendly and helpful staff, happy to put Rugby on for us and added bonus if staying discounted drinks. Room was clean, bed was comfy and shower was great. Secondary glassing meant that even sat night was quiet and no noise heard from the pub either. Seemed to have a leak in hallway but didnt impact out stay and they were addressing. Tube close by and park, free parking at weekends 17 min walk away which was great. Would stay again

Was easy to check in and the staff were friendly and helpful. The room was small but had all the amenities needed and was comfortable. It's perfect for a one night stay. Also close walk to the underground station.

Quick stay over for me for a concert. Price was pretty good for london too! Helpful staff! Definately going here next time for a concert stay! :)

I'd stay there again, but a mixed experience... I'll start with some big pluses. Convenient, short walk from the Mile End tube station; an easy spot while in London for biz. A very pleasant walkable neighborhood; shops, restaurants, and a large parks/gardens. The hotel sits on the site of a historic hotel with a19th Century Garden, a popular destination at the time. The adjacent Regents Canal (with narrow boats and hand oprated locks) path and park makes for nice strolls. The rooms are over a lively pub, but no noise issues. The rooms a are bit small, but "space capsuling" is fairly normal for rooms in this price range in larger cities. The toilet, directly in front of the sink, was a stretch (pun intened). The otherwise modern shower was stuck at the hottest setting, the knob did nothing. I had to get creative with a jug and do camping washes. Otherwise clean and comfortable. I wonder if the rooms are an afterthought for the pub, and hotel guests are somewhat of an annoyance. Example: this is the only hotel, in decades of travel in 30+ countries that refused to hold a bag until checkin time. I pondered, that surely the staff, who kept me outside the door in the rain, was instructed not to come up with solutions, or didn't care. Whatever. An odd mix, but overall decent for the price. Also, try the Smoke End steakhouse nearby... a hidden gem

Staff were friendly, room was clean and a really good size for a family room. Well located for access to the 02 and a 2 minute walk from Mile End tube station.

As annual guest I was a little disappointed that standards have slipped. Firstly no communication was provided on the closed event being held with clear instructions on the event organisers to maintain access to guests. No food or drink was available. Secondly the building is clearly showing maintenance issues with water coming into the building leading to damp smelling common areas. The room although nice was again lacking on maintenance. A leaking air conditioning unit faulty bulbs and a shower door which did not say closed whilst showering. In summary and in contrast previously very good however needs improvement otherwise it will lose its unique sparkle which I so much look forward to when in London

Great location near the Tube station, seamless check-in and great value all round

Check in was ok. The lady was helpful and nice, though it was a bit hard to hear her in the bar environment. I also had to wait for her to finish making some cocktails before I could check in. Once checked in, the hotel part has a separate door, so I didnt have to fight through the bar each time I came back. Decent location near an underground station with shops and the canal to walk along. The area was fairly noisy at night though. Lots of sirens and you can hear/feel the underground trains rumbling below you until fairly late. Air conditioning was very welcome in the 30degC London heat. Though it was quite noisy and would occasionally throw chunks of ice out after making grinding noises. Maybe needs some maintenance/filter cleaning. The room itself was ok, but in need of a bit of TLC. Some of the paint was coming off and one of the window handles had snapped off. They had installed double glazing inside the old single glazed windows, however the window with the broken handle had been jammed open with some tissue (I discovered just before checking out), so this may explain the external noise. Bed was reasonably comfortable, though the duvet was too thick for a hot summer day and the pillows too soft for my liking. Bathroom fine, but small. The toilet seat was uncomfortable. Probably would look to find somewhere else next time, but not terrible by any means.

This was my second time booking this hotel, and I am so glad I decided to return! I needed to secure two rooms for myself and a work colleague who was visiting London. Remembering my great stay here a few years back, I knew this would be the perfect choice. From the very moment of booking, the staff were incredibly attentive. As my colleague was arriving into London early before the standard check in time, I messaged the hotel to ask about storing our bags. They responded swiftly and were wonderfully accommodating, keeping our luggage safe behind the bar so we could head into the city unburdened until our rooms were ready. When we returned later to check in, we were warmly greeted and instantly felt right at home. Such personable and genuine hospitality is rare, but this team nailed it. The rooms were an absolute delight, wonderfully spacious, quiet, and exceptionally comfortable. We especially loved having powerful air conditioning, as well as the beautifully modern and spotless bathrooms. After getting settled, we headed downstairs to the hotel bar to unwind. It boasts a beautifully warm and inviting atmosphere, making it the perfect spot to catch up. We enjoyed a few drinks and their amazing handmade pizza, which absolutely hit the spot. Taking my friend and colleague here was a huge success, and they loved the hotel just as much as I did. Consistently fantastic service makes all the difference in the world, so I will definitely be coming back again!

Stayed here for several nights over the last few months, always a super chilled out stay, really easy-going staff with a super bar downstairs that has great vibes and excellent Pizzas! Rooms are always clean and have everything you need for a quick stay. Excellent price point considering the location. Will definitely be back again soon.

The location was very good and the room spacious, quiet and comfortable enough, although it had no desk. Window effectively could not be opened but there was functioning AC. A downside was the very poor (albeit password-protected) wi-fi, often barely loading even simplest webpages (same problem both with the phone and the laptop). This should be fixed in my view.

Overall a decent stay and bar below was great. Dust in the room, no iron or iron board in room, shower was too hot and wouldnt cool down, fire alarm went off randomly a few times so not ideal

Affordable hotel with comfy bed and quiet room.

Clean room and bed sheets, soft towels. There's shower gel, shampoo and conditioner (it's a big plus for me, finally not the 3-in-1 gel I find in many hotels). There's a kettle, coffee, milk, and sugar in the room as well as a hair dryer. The condition of the walls (paint) is not great but apart from that the room was good. The bed is comfy and the neighborhood is very quiet. The pub is on the ground floor while the rooms are on the second meaning there's no noise in the evening. The staff is friendly and the pub's atmosphere is relaxed. Overall, it was a good stay.
