이 호텔은 시내 중심에 있어서 위치가 정말 좋고, 모든 게 마음에 들어요. 호텔 인테리어, 깔끔한 객실, 조식당 모두 마음에 들어요. 특히 직원들이 정말 친절하게 대해주셔서 정말 좋았어요.

Rimelig hotell med frisk og morsom dekor. Tema for dekoren er været (som Manchester har mye av), og den er gjennomført i alle detaljer helt fra dørhåndtak på inngangsdøren, i lobbyen og på rommene, inkludert badet. Personalet var hyggelige og hjelpsomme, frokosten var veldig enkel, men helt ok. Hotellet ligger supert til i sentrum av byen, det er kort vei til shopping, uteliv, spisesteder, og buss, trikk og tog. Reisefølget mitt hadde rom ut mot gata og sa det var en del støy fra bussene. Jeg hadde rom mot baksiden av huset, og det var helt stille. Hvis man er sensitiv for lyd fra klimaanlegget, bør man vurdere å bruke ørepropper, da viften går litt av og på. Alt i alt godt fornøyd.

Hotellet har cool design och sköna sängar. Bra läge nära Manchester Picadelli. Hotellet tog betalt för att ha våra väskor i bagagerummet, 2£ per väska, det har vi aldrig varit med om någonstans! Hotellrummen städas bara var tredje dag, men ändå saknas toalettborste på toa. Enligt receptionisten var det av säkerhetsskäl! Två saker som gör att vi inte kommer återvända till detta hotell, det räcker inte med cool design!

Large and clean rooms, daring stylistic choices (fair enough!), very centrally located. However, the walls are really thin and the windows are single glazed so it's both cold and noisy. We could hear our neighbors as if they were in the room with us, and we struggled to properly seal the windows against partygoers and cold outside.

This hotel is the old Ibis hotel. I thought it had had a bit of a refurb but it seems it is more of a makeover on top of the existing decor so it isn't as pretty as it looks online. The reception area looks okay though, my issue is with the hallway (1st floor) and bedroom, the carpet is old and smelly. I'm not sure if my room was damp or musty but it was pretty grim, I slept with the window open. In hindsight, should have complained, got a refund and stayed somewhere. Towels and bed sheets were clean. Bathroom was clean and the shower was good but would not walk bare foot on the carpet in the bedroom - yuck! I have stayed in lots of hotels in Manchester and sorry to say, this is the worst one. £2 to leave bags at the hotel the following day, didn't need this but just for info.

This hotel is dressed up to look nice, but lipstick on a pig is still a pig. One elevator was out during our 4 night stay and this is a 7 story hotel. The working elevator could fit 5 people if there was no luggage, so lots of waiting for the one working elevator. The bathroom was newly remodeled but you couldn’t sit on the toilet without moving sideways as the counter was too close. The shower curtain on the shower stall did not go to the floor so there was water on floor every day. No tub. Portland St is not for through traffic but buses and taxis, so can be loud with bus and people noise. The staff is minimal and not helpful. Whetherspoons is nearby and much cheaper for breakfast than the hotel. Opens at 8 am and is very quick. This was my first trip to Manchester and I chose this hotel due to its central location and proximity to our day tour pick up at the train station, but it is kind of a sketchy area due to its proximity to Piccadilly Gardens. Lastly the taxi button in the hotel didn’t work which was tragic as we waited 20 minutes for a taxi to the airport which never came. Just hail a cab on Portland or even better use Uber because it is cheaper. Of course the staff didn’t bother to give us this advice as they barely look up from their phones at the front desk.

It was fine for what we needed. Clean, convenient location nice and close to tram in Piccadilly Gardens. My TV remote didn’t work and wasn’t fixed despite mentioning it to reception but apart from that it was fine.

Check in was fast and efficient. Room was fine. . I have stayed here before when it was Ibis and was happy to return. However, under the new owner, breakfast was terrible - not a hot and cold buffet as advertised - only cold. They did bring out hot food but it could have been sat for hours based on the fact I could barely cut through the sausage. If not serving as advertised - please tell guests BEFORE taking their money at the door. The TV in the room constantly lost signal. We used the WhatsApp number provided in the room and received zero response. Disappointing stay. Staff that we did deal with at reception were great.

Komal helped me check-in, and helped me find local shops for what I needed immediately. Very friendly and helpful! My only complaint is that my room (525) was either above or beside laundry and the machines ran at least until midnight, shaking the room, making sleep a little difficult. However after it stopped it was very quiet, especially considering the location.
