Clean room quite unique fun rooms. Staff friendly staying for 2 nights we had an issue on first night as they over booked so room was not suitable but moved easily for second night. Staff apologised and were very friendly. Bar area was nice. Very central great location would use again

Good location and reasonable price

Our room smelt of stale cigarette smoke on arrival. The reception staff changed our room straight away to another room which was acceptable.

It was fine other than the check in. The woman on reception was very rude - before I even had chance to say anything she barked, 'What's your surname?'. As I'd just booked and she couldn't imemdiately find the reservation she was clearly annoyed. Left a very sour taste. The woman on reception when I checked out (who I've dealt with before and think is South African) was as friendly as ever.

General manager and the cleaning team were very helpful and was the only one that we felt that understood good customer service. Lifts are small. Card wasn't working on the second day and had to come back downstairs after running the Manchester marathon to get it activated again. Reception staff barely made any eye contact the whole time we were there which came across rude and unhelpful at times. Good place to stay for low-medium budget and location near the station is good Avoid the restaurant completely. Worst customer service I've ever experienced. It's not part of the hotel but it's joint next to it. Staff there are very rude and one of them shouted at the top of his voice across the room "oi oi" because the card machine didn't go through. He should have come over and explained what had happened calmly but no he continued to shout and say "I AM SO BUSY" to us in front of all the customers at the bar. He should never shout or raise his voice at anyone. I have never had my voice raised at in a restaurant/bar never mind be shouted at. Not long before this, the other member of staff came over and put some reserved signs down at our table saying "sorry you need to move". Again this was in a rude tone and I had just ran in the Manchester marathon and was shattered (it was obvious I was wearing running clothes and the medal), and instead should have said "sorry just to let you know this table is booked in __ minutes and I can help find you a new table if that's okay?".

Das Personal (Rezeption) ist freundlich und hat die gestellten Fragen beantwortet. Die Lage des Hotels ist super (gleich gegenüber von Piccadilly Gardens). Man ist schnell überall und hat eine gute Anbindung an den ÖV. Der Zustand des Zimmers ist in Ordnung. Der Teppich hat vereinzelte Flecken/Farbfehler und auch die Wände sowie Schalter weissen teilweise Beschädigungen/Unreinheiten auf. Der Zustand der Silikonabdichtung des Fensters wirkt nicht sehr ansprechend. Das Öffnen der Fenster ist untersagt. Die Grösse des Standard-Doppelzimmers erfüllt die Erwartungen. Im Bad hört man ständig ein Rauschen, welches an eine laufende Dusche/Regen erinnert. Durch das Schliessen der Tür des Bades wird dieses Geräusch gedämpft und es lässt sich schlafen. Während die Klimaanlage arbeitet ist diese deutlich hörbar, mit der Zeit wird sie dann leiser. Das Bad war sauber und in einem besseren Zustand als das Zimmer. Der Eingangsbereich/Lobby des Hotels ist schön gestaltet. Der Lift brauchte jeweils seine Zeit und auch nach Ankunft im Zielgeschoss dauert es einige Sekunden, bis sich die Tür öffnet. Das Frühstück war für das gebotene Angebot etwas teuer (£12.95/Tag). Es gab keine grosse Auswahl an Brötchen, lediglich Croissants, Baguette & Toastbrot. Auch die Auswahl an Früchten war auf Äpfel und Orangen begrenzt. Die Kaffeemaschine hatte keine heisse Schokolade zur Auswahl. Geheimtipp: In der warmen Küche sind Pancakes verfügbar. Hierzu einfach beim Personal anfragen. Hotel für den Preis ok

Good one night stay, with my daughter, to attend the AO arena. Easy check in, friendly staff. Everything good! Clean room, comfortable bed. Great location for everywhere we wanted to get to. All within walking distance for us.

Air con was good and room lovely didn't get chance at the bar but will next time.

The hotel was in a good location for us , we travelled to Manchester via train and the hotel was only a short walk from Piccadilly station. Having the tram network close also made it easy for us to get to Etihad campus for a concert at Co op live. The hotel is starting to look a bit tired with damaged paintwork and ceiling tiles , but the staff were very helpful and friendly and room was clean . Overall a good experience.

Booked 1 night stay with breakfast, was told breakfast wasn't included. For the price rooms could have been better . Lobby says 5* above that says 3*
