Leeds Marriott Hotel

Very nice hotel and lovely breakfast too. We were with a toddler so cautious about the noise as there were many reviews about high noise level. When we close the windows, it didn’t bother us. It’s so close to many good restaurants and attractions. So we loved it.

Staff very smartly presented and helpful. Hotel very handy for city centre.

I've stayed in the leeds marriot several times, the rooms are spacious and the beds are comfortable. I would choose The Marriot over other hotels despite the cost being higher. It is situated perfect for the city centre shops and for The Briggate pubs and clubs which is the main reason for my stay. There is some things however that I feel need to be looked at, my most recent stay was Thurs June 4th to Saturday 6th. Unfortunately the air conditioning in the room would go no lower than 18ºC, the output speed was also quite poor resulting in my room being quite warm at night, the temperature also kept changing on the stat after a few hours to 22ºC even though I had set it as low as I could, in the middle of the summer the rooms need to be cooler. The other problem was the fridge, it Simply does not work, drinks and chocolate i put in it were not cold even after being in there for 10+hours.

Great stay

Hotel was brilliant with helpful staff and a brilliant location. The breakfast buffet was disappointing with not a lot of options to choose from in the hot food area.

We arrived before check in but they had our rooms ready for us which was great to leave our things in the room as we were going straight out for a music festival. The only negative was that we had to pay for an extra breakfast and I thought it was included for all three of us staying. But that could have been my error not noticing it properly on the third party booking site. Breakfast had a good selection, some items were running low but we didn’t have to wait long until it was replenished. Parking was right opposite the hotel and you get a discount when you put your reg in at the reception desk. We had a very pleasant short stay and would highly recommend it.

Lovely hotel, rooms were spotless but heard the people in the next door room talking all night. The interconnecting doors are awful.

Stayed here before. Always pleasant, friendly staff. All areas clean. Room clean and well maintained.

Great location

Very disappointing experience staying at Leeds Marriott Hotel with my family. The room was extremely small, not properly tidy, and not clean at all. Basic things like complimentary water, proper toiletries, and drinking water were missing from the room. The windows were broken, which made the stay even worse. The biggest issue was accessibility — the lift area is not friendly for pushchairs or wheelchairs. There are stairs before reaching the lift, so families need to physically carry pushchairs or wheelchairs by two people. This is very inconvenient and unacceptable for a family hotel. Parking was also a nightmare with no proper parking facilities available. On top of that, the WiFi connection was the worst I have ever experienced. I started searching/loading something on the WiFi and literally fell asleep waiting — it still hadn’t properly connected even by the next day. Overall, a very poor family experience and definitely not what we expected from a Marriott hotel. Would not recommend for families, especially those with children or wheelchair users.
