Location is amazing rooms were very clean and bed was extremely comfortable

We have stayed at this hotel before and it’s still very good. Conveniently placed, nice rooms, excellent breakfast and the staff are polite and responsive. I would recommend a stay there.

Nice room, great location, everything we needed for an overnight stay.

The room was noisy road traffic made it hard to sleep. Hotel was in fantastic condition and rooms nice. Breakfast was very good, but staff not very attentive. Manager did offer a £50 refund for the noisy room.

We were extremely disappointed with our stay, especially after having such a positive experience at another Malmaison hotel in Manchester previously. Unfortunately, this visit fell far below expectations. The room was uncomfortably warm, and the air conditioning did not work at all. We considered opening a window for some fresh air, only to discover that none of the windows could be opened. As a result, we had a very poor and uncomfortable night’s sleep. On top of that, the room itself was quite small, particularly given the price we paid, which made the experience feel even less worthwhile. We also attempted to contact the front desk multiple times during our stay but received no response, which was very frustrating. Overall, this was a very disappointing stay and not the level of quality or service we expected.

The room smelt like a public toilet even when the bathroom door was closed. There’s clearly a drain problem. The cleaning was a bit lax and it was odd that when housekeeping made up the room they didn’t replace the dirty cups or move the empty water bottles. We also requested two single duvets on our reservation and had to ask for this again at the hotel even though they had confirmed the request. They put the single duvets on top of the existing duvet rather than remaking the bed. There were other issues like the fridge didn’t work, the retro cabinet had a door that hung open constantly, and a number of times room service didn’t answer the phone. All in all I was very disappointed for the amount of money my stay cost. I’ve had far better stays in cheaper hotels so it clearly is all style over substance. I definitely wouldn’t return.

Breakfast was fantastic I upgraded the room but had no chocolates and only one pair of slippers in the room which was disappointing I also prepaid for the room but the cost has been taken out of my bank account as well so had to call for a refund which isn’t so good. If I hadn’t checked I would have paid for the room twice. However the hotel etc was exceptional for the stay.

Central location, friendly greeting at reception, breakfast too expensive!! So didn’t purchase, Fabulous stay loved the uphrade
