Great location, amazing view and brilliant staff, breakfast was really good too.

Great night in a wonderful hotel in a very special city, especially at Christmas! The Christmas meal was fabulous, our room large and comfortable and staff everywhere were smiley and helpful!

Staff weren’t overly friendly on reception - if I paid full price I’d be a bit disappointed with the room & service.

We upgraded for my birthday for the 3 days and our room was only cleaned the once. Had to ask house keeping for loo roll and clean towels and to top up tea/coffee disappointing as friends had stayed here and highly recommended it to us.

Our room was very nice with plenty of space including a couch. The breakfast was very nice with a great selection.

My wife and I have just spent 3 nights at Malmaison Newcastle whilst visiting relatives in Newcastle. I can honestly say we had a wonderful visit the staff at the hotel were fantastic including Teresa & Aimee in the dining room and Claire on reception. Many thanks to all concerned, Best wishes, Dave & Jean.

It was a great stay - only one thing that marred it was one very grumpy member of their bar staff. Everybody else were wonderful and would have given 5 stars if not for Barman.

We had room 306 - a beautiful room - very spacious and fab décor, also pipping clean, with lovely large bath towels. Bar was also plush and comfy.

I absolutely loved staying in this hotel. The location on the quay side is beautiful. I was fortunate to have a river view. I had never been to Newcastle before but finding the hotel and parking was so easy. I loved that the car park had spaces for the hotel and it is so close to the hotel and such good value for money too. The hotel decor is beautiful and I was very impressed. The staff were extremely welcoming on arrival. The room was perfect, it was a good size, had all the amenities you needed and it was very clean. The only criticism would be the pillows bring a little soft for my liking but that’s personal preference. The bathroom and shower were perfect. Dining and breakfast at the hotel was excellent, a great choice on the menu and the food didn’t disappoint. I stayed half board and thought it was excellent value for money. The breakfast was fantastic with self- serve and hot food menu options. All in all my stay at Malmaison was excellent and I would highly recommend this hotel. I’m definitely going to rebook for another stay.
