Definitely one to stay for business - good for one night here and there

Room was clean but stair carpets were smelly and dirty also skirting board gathered lots of dust. Room curtains had dirty stains on them, I told staff but nothing was done about it. No lifts, had to go up the stairs to the third floor than 4th floor. Downstairs and reception area looked very clean and inviting, but up the stairs were dirty snd smelly. Dirty towel left in hanging in the bathroom, dirty nappies left in the bin, bedding were clean but pillows and duvet had bad smell.

Location was good, served for purpose, parking on street -first come first served basis. Me snd my son shared en-suite room. Room was located on 3rd floor no lift, going upstairs the carpets on the stairs were so dirty and smelly as if it wasn’t cleaned or hoovered for months. The skirting boards were covered with dust. The toilet in the en-suite was leaking from the bottom and the toilet lid didn’t fit the toilet flush tank. 2nd night spent at the property became already paid for stayed in the same en-suite room with my son, there was dirty towel hanging in the bathroom and bathroom bin was full of rubbish with dirty nappies etc. We were so tired of our journey we just went ti bed. The TV wasn’t working first time we reported, second time it was working but was intermittently. I will never go there again. Didn’t like their terms and conditions.

The room itself was very clean, and the reception staff were really helpful with check-in. I also left my key in the room and they were really helpful giving me a spare so I could get in at 4am! The corridors are a little bit confusing the building is like a maze, but signage was helpful. Carpet and decor etc a little but dated. Room was extremely hot however, modernising with aircon might be a good idea.

If you’re looking for a basic stay for the night then this property will be ok. There were lots of repairs needed and the wardrobe looked like it was going to collapse as well as the radiator about to fall off the wall. The room needed a complete revamp.

As I arrived inside the property, I could smell a very bad odour, which I assumed was coming from the carpet on the stairs and landing. The was also in my bedroom. I was given a bedroom on the 4th floor. No lifts and as I have a hip and back problems, this wasn’t nice having to negotiate the stairs and corridors

Great location, just up the road from a shopping centre and only half an hour walk into the city centre. Room was basic and in need of an upgrade & repairs. Staff were very friendly & welcoming

A good value choice within reasonable walking distance of the northern quarter.

Very spacious bedroom and bathroom. No issues with facilities; the shower worked fine. Very affordable, friendly staff.

Given the price, we didn't have high expectations, but we were still very disappointed with our stay at this "accommodation." When you enter the hotel, you are greeted by a musty smell in the corridors, which they try unsuccessfully to mask with air fresheners, which does not make a good first impression. The main point, however, is that the pictures do not show the real condition of the rooms. There is mold in the corners of the shower and on the walls. The window cannot be closed properly, so there is a draught, and the towel rack simply falls off the wall when you hang something on it. I don't even want to start on the closet, which almost collapses when you open it, and a large hole in the floor, which has simply been covered with carpet and which you sink into when you walk over it, seems dangerous to me and the fact that there is no hot water in the shower is almost inhumane. The only positive aspect of the rooms is that the beds are very comfortable and seem new, but when you want to get up and touch the carpet with your feet, it's disgusting. We got through the days, but would rather advise against staying here.
