Most friendly staff i have come across

It is a delightful place and wonderful building. The edge was taken off by the continual noise from the peacocks all night which prevented a sleep through the night for me. Otherwise, very nice

Clean room, good ammenities all round lovely stay

beautiful surroundings , a character building ,good food courteous staff , couldn't fault it.

Room was quite small but it was nice, bar and breakfast areas are really nice. The staff are lovely, disappointed with the pool and spa area, was expecting it to be better.

1. Hotels.com description for a Superior Room is 31 sq m, with a seating area with a sofa and chairs. Ours (room 275) was tiny, with room for a desk and a chair in the corner. Yet, Front Desk assured us this was a Superior Room. 2. Getting hot water out of the shower is non-trivial. Initially we had to complain to get the boiler restarted, then we had to ask for someone to come to the room to explain how to operate the shower tap (involved aligning the lever at a particular angle combined with pushing and turning the temperature knob). Instructions in the bathroom would be helpful. 3. No hairdryer in the room, had to call and request. When the attendant arrived, he asked to check our wardrobe as if he didn't believe us. 4. Breakfast, if ordered on Hotels.com at time of booking, seems to be £20 per room. If ordered in person on the morning, it's more than twice the price, £22 per person. So plan accordingly! 5. Lots of stairs. Our room was only accessible via stairs, which can be tiring depending on how much luggage you have. 6. The grounds are fairly nice. The peacocks are striking, through depending on their mood (and, presumably, the season), they do get into shouting matches with each other which can make for a less-than-tranquil experience on the lawns. Thankfully most rooms are well-insulated and the noise is a lot softer. The lawns therefore are fertilized with healthy amounts of peacock droppings. And occasionally some of the tabletops in the lawn area, too.

The breakfast was decent, good selections of hot food and full English, pastry selection was good too.

Great hotel with friendly staff

Nice hotel with charm and good amenities. Rather quiet

Lovely place to stay, great staff and beautiful surroundings. We only stayed one night but felt like we made the most of what was on offer. Had a swim late in the evening and first thing in the morning, pool was slightly chilly but a good size and lovely for the kids. Room was spacious, comfy and clean. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful. All the staff we met were very friendly, particular mention to Rebecca the receptionist who gave us a very warm welcome and explanation of the facilities. Enjoyed the grounds and the large flock of peacocks in the morning before we left- this was a stop off to break a long journey and we’d absolutely stay there again.

The hotel was clean, the room well equipped and the staff were all very friendly and efficient. The only criticism we had was the food in the restaurant, whilst very nice, was not the fine dining experience we were hoping for. The menu, which includes burgers and fish & chips, didn’t reflect the surroundings of the dining room.

What a lovely hotel, staff, gardens (with beautiful peacocks), pool and overall experience. We stayed for two nights, and ended up eating in the hotel both nights, the food was lovely too. The games rooms with an art area, a pool table, table tennis and garden activities are a great touch for the kids. Only one request - please put some wd40 on the ground floor laundry door. We would absolutely recommend and we will be returning, thank you.

Pendley Manor was the best hotel I’ve stayed in, in a long while. From the moment we entered the hotel the staff were so friendly, helpful and professional. The receptionist Tye answered my many questions knowledgeably. The waiters in the Oak room were so nice, nothing was too much trouble. We had the most amazing food (and we are fussy foodies) every course was exceptional at dinner and the breakfast was delicious, the quality of the food is top notch! We had booked a family room for the 2 of us, so spacious the beds were really comfy and the fridge was a real bonus, to chill the champagne I had taken to celebrate my friend’s retirement. We made full use of all the facilities, the spa was wonderful, and so enjoyed seeing all the peacocks on our walks in the beautiful grounds. Thank you to all, we will definitely be back! 😊

We booked this room while attending a black-tie event, so we had high expectations given the price. Unfortunately, the overall experience was disappointing. The room itself was quite small, especially compared to the unusually large bathroom. When I went to take a shower, the water was only lukewarm, which was frustrating. Getting ready for the event was also inconvenient—there was no mirror near the desk/dressing table and no full-length mirror in the room. The only mirror was in the bathroom, which wasn’t practical while my partner was using it. This made preparing for a formal event much more difficult than it should have been. Additionally, the room felt very stuffy. Opening the window helped with ventilation, but it let in a lot of noise from an external fan, making it hard to relax. Overall, the room did not meet expectations for the price we paid.

The room was spotless and spacious! Every staff member is helpful and friendly. The swimming pool is lovely, the peacocks are great to watch walking around, the whole place is quite a wonderful experience. Thank you to everyone at Pendley Manor!

Lovely hotel stayed there again friendly staff lovely room clean and spacious! They have a great pool and their breakfast and dinner is excellent.

Great location, spacious room, child-friendly, very friendly staff

Breakfast selection was good! Room amenities is good! Coffee machine, coffee selection ( decaffeinated too! ) 4 packs of hot chocolate, alot of biscuits, 2 different type of tea. Oh! And there is a fridge which was very convenient for family with young children ( fresh milk storage) What I really want to highlight is the service! My son was actually sick ( vomited ) and the hotel staff was very understanding and did not make me feel an inch of uncomfortable about it! Super understanding, super helpful!

The staff were wonderful, the decor is beautiful and the facilities are fantastic
