Great staff , very nice hotel.

We saw the housekeeping service notice in the room. One of the sentences stated that your room will not be refreshed automatically each morning and will be serviced upon request only. We stayed for 7 consecutive nights under 2 bookings. We requested housekeeping service twice during our stay. But no one ever came to clean up. They only did after my wife made a complaint. The 6 night my wife informed the front desk staff about this again. We needed toilet papers as it's almost gone, tissues in the box was empty, no more tea and coffee, rubbish bin was already very full. She understood its unacceptable. She's a conscientious staff and might be a manager or have a managerial role. She gave us 2 complimentary breakfast for the following 2 days. She brought the necessary stuff to our room shortly after. It's a hostel rather than a midscale hotel. Everyone knows that hotels provide service, to maintain a clean and comfortable environment during a stay while hostels don't. We paid the price of hotel, however, we received no service.

It was not clean. The front desk wasn't helpful.

Clean room, friendly staff. A king bed but only 1 bedside light, so only 1 of us could read, why only 1 light? Also the shower wash bottle was empty, had not taken any so little bit annoying. But apart from that it was ok.

Stayed with mates for 2 nights. Plenty of room and nice quiet surroundings however just a short walk over the river to get into central Newcastle!

Everything was very good.

Friendly welcome at reception and check in was good. Staff were all polite and friendly. The bar area is decent and they have sky sports on the big tv. Decor and furniture in the room was a bit dated but beds were comfortable. Previous guest must have been a smoker as the room smelled of stale smoke and the smoke detector had been covered by a plastic bag. It was raining and an overflow pipe seemed to be splashing water on to the flat roof by the window all night which was annoying. Reported this to receptionist who did apologise and will sort out. Plenty of parking for £10 and 3 EV chargers available. Easy walk into the city centre and some good bars by the river. Overall not a great stay for the price charged but maybe I just got unlucky with the room I was given.

Room was fairly clean and the hotel is nicely located. The TV didn't work but that could of been my TV.

Did not use gym, no shops nearby

Good location for The Glasshouse with a nearby bus to go into Newcastle. Room was fine and clean. Had Pizza in bar on evening which was lovely. Breakfast was adequate, could have been a bit hotter but was fine.

Very nice and central place we had dinner and breakfast included food was great very friendly staff and plenty of parking

Little basic and parking is £10 per night. Breakfast was rather expensive. Clean and decent location.

Good location close to city centre. Big car park on site (£10 charge). Room very basic. Sink blocked in bathroom straight away. As hotel is quite big, room quite far from reception

It was a good stay, rooms could be better cleaned and bathroom needs an update

Spacious room with large comfortable bed. Room tired in places especially the laminate flooring. Clean bathroom and the wet room shower was really good.

Room was clean, bed was comfortable, great shower, plenty of choice for breakfast

No shops or restaurants/amenities close by, chose hotel for proximity to Glasshouse, which was excellent, 3 minutes walk. Although you can walk down over the millennium bridge very close to the Glasshouse to riverside pubs and restaurants. Took 30 minutes to walk back from central Newcastle city centre

Clean spacious room with added bonus of a sofa! Great little gym a nice extra.. small ( 1 treadmill, 1 bike and 1 cross trainer, various weights and a bench) but no other users and everything I needed. Very good breakfast choice. Overall good prices and value for money
