Great hotel for skiing holiday. Room had ample space for family of 4. Was worried about single bunk beds for my older teenagers but they were fit for purpose. Lots of storage for clothes and luggage. Wish there was more hooks for hanging up towels though. Overall very happy with our Christmas skiing holiday. Close to piste/gondola, town, restaurants... Very impressed with the breakfast buffet. Highly recommend!

We loved our stay here. Great communication on arrival instructions before we got there as weren’t familiar with the area and weren’t driving. We got the funicular from bourg saint Maurice and then the free shuttle to the chamotteger stop. It all works very well together timing wise. Then it’s a short walk uphill (bit of a challenges with our suitcases but it was only short). It’s also a short walk down to the main area with a great choice of restaurants some shops and we were in the summer season but a whole host of activities for the kids. The whole hotel had a very cosy vibe with incredible views, definitely worth paying for a room with a view, loved the pool. Everything was clean and well kept,service was very friendly whoever we spoke to. Replen at breakfast was a little slow. there was a good choice and all was tasty just at times we were waiting a while for plates or still water. Room was clean and spacious only criticism was it was a little hot at times, air con would have been useful and it was 2 beds pushed together rather than a double which I don’t find the comfiest and pillow choice wasn’t great they were very soft and no alternatives. We didn’t like the rule where you could only eat there if you were half board the first day we had a LONG day of travel but had to go out and find dinner where as we would have liked to stay at the hotel but didn’t want to eat every night to make it half board. This felt a little money making. Overall we loved our stay.

Piaciuto: Camera spaziosa, pulita e dotata di ogni comfort. Lenzuola, asciugamani e accappatoi di alta qualità, ciabatte, macchina caffè Nespresso a disposizione, prese corrente ovunque, cassaforte, frigorifero, Wi-Fi in camera disponibile e funzionante. Accesso gratuito in piscina, 2 vasche idromassaggio e sauna. Al nostro arrivo ci hanno omaggiato di borracce per l’acqua e distributore a disposizione. Colazione a buffet molto fornita con addetto alla preparazione della uova e crepa. Cena veramente ottima e complimenti allo chef. Da migliorare cuscini scomodi e più attenzione al rifacimento dei letti (presenza di pieghe fastidiose). Camerieri e addetti alla reception gentili e disponibili tranne una. Tempi lunghi di attesa alla cena (media attesa per 3 portate un’ora e mezza). Canali tv italiani praticamente assenti. La palestra ha a disposizione solo tapis roulants. Parcheggio esterno gratuito sempre pieno.

We booked a half-board stay at Altezza Arc 1800 Hotel & Spa for our family of four (2 adults, 2 children aged 13 and 16) through Hotels.com. This booking proved to be a source of significant frustration and financial loss due to misleading information and a lack of support from Hotels.com. The hotel contacted us post-booking to inform us that our children's meals were not included in the half-board rate. When we contacted Hotels.com, we were told this was stated in the terms and conditions—a clause we found to be incredibly unclear. The T&Cs mentioned an exclusion for children aged 3-14, but our 16-year-old was not in this age range and could not be booked as an adult on the site. In a written communication, Hotels.com agreed to a refund. They instructed us to pay the hotel directly for the children's meals and submit the invoices for a full refund for the 16-year-old and a partial refund (minus EUR 15) for the 13-year-old. Trusting this agreement, we paid the hotel EUR 518 (EUR 259 per child). Upon our return, Hotels.com reneged on their promise, claiming the hotel had refused the refund. Despite providing all correspondence, invoices, and evidence of their initial agreement, the company has now stated they will not honor the refund. This experience highlights a significant breakdown in communication and customer service. The booking terms were ambiguous, and Hotels.com failed to follow through on a clear written promise, leaving us to bear a substantial and unexpected cost.

Hôtel bien situé, moderne et avec une chambre relativement confortable. Cependant, l’unique option pour rafraîchir la chambre est d’ouvrir la fenêtre, car il n’y a pas de climatisation, mais la nuit reste relativement bruyante avec les personnes qui parlent sur les balcons jusqu’à minuit. L’insonorisation est minimale. Les chambres sont bruyantes. L’hôtel est familial, donc on entend les enfants sauter la nuit, les parents crier. De plus, ce qui serait très intéressant, c’est d’avoir au minimum en room service. J’ai été surpris qu’aucun service en chambre n’est proposé.

The hotel could use some improvements in refreshments, and while the services are acceptable, there is an excessive level of informality during interactions that does not align with a four-star standard.

Lovely dinner, great room, bike storage good, breakfast wasn’t brilliant day 1 (31st Aug) but did improve!
