사진에 있는 객실 사진보다는, 실제 객실은 조금 노후화 되어 있습니다. 샤위기 수압 및 온도는 적절하나 & 변기 플러싱 능력이 조금 부족합니다. 함께 숙박한 동료들의 방을 방문해 본 바, 환기팬의 성능도 좀 떨어지고 & 욕조 물배수구에서 악취가 올라 오기도 합니다. 객실 내, 층간 소음은 덜 하지만, 복도에서 주고 받는 소리가, 객실에서 다 들리는 단점.... 호텔 위치는 다소 조용한 곳에 위치해 있습니다. 호텔에서 1분만 걸어 나가면 바다가 보이지만, 해변이 없어서 그냥 바라만 보는 바다..... 호텔을 나서서 우측으로 1분쯤 걸어 나가면 바다가 보이고, 다시 우측으로 2분 정도 걸어가면 " Naturals " 라는 천연 아이스크림 가게가 있습니다. 한국 본젤라또 가격의 1/3 금액으로, 맛있는 아이스크림을 즐길 수가 있습니다. 호텔을 나서서 좌측으로 1~2분 걸어가면 " WOK EXPRESS " 라는 중국 음식 포장 전문 식당이 있습니다. 가게에서 식사도 가능하며 RS210 정도로 한끼 식사가 가능합니다. 이 식당 근처에 " MOCKINGBIRD"라는 까페가 있는데, 식사 및 주류를 판매하는 곳입니다. 비교적 음식 콸러티도 좋고 & 분위기도 좋고 & 영어로 대화도 가능 & 무료로 보드 게임도 가능합니다만, 다만 가격이 조금 비싼 편입니다. 조금더 올라가면 3~4분 거리에 버거킹이 있는데, 한국의 버거킹 맛과는 180도 다르기에, 비추입니다.

Nice clean rooms, great shower. Friendly helpful staff and great location just off Marine Drive. Note Expedia says includes airport shuttle service it does not. The hotel can arrange for you but uber is cheaper

The room was ok. The hotel was well located.

The entire experience was wonderful. From the minute we arrived till the time we left. All of the staff was very attentive and professional. Our room was very clean and quiet. The buffet breakfast is amazing. We will definitely book this hotel again if we return to Mumbai

Very Dated and needs a full on renovation. Not the cleanest of rooms. Bathroom suits are from 1990’s with cream plastic shower and taps. Water pressure is good. My shower head was blocked by dirt so someone had to come and open the shower head with screwdriver and clean the dirt out of it to unblock. Rooms also smell a little of Damp as Bathroom was not the most ventilated of places. The best thing was their food, very good chef and staff is nice too. I would not Stay here again, specially for the price which was about £140/night, definitely not worth that sort of price range.

Room was very good, AC worked great and kept room nice and cool. Every thing worked and very good rain shower head. I would definitely stay here when I am in Bombay.

I usually stay at five-stars when I’m in Mumbai, splurging a little bit while still finding a good deal online that fits within my budget. But Mumbai hotel prices have gotten out of control and this time they were unusually high at my usual spots, so I booked The Ambassador (a slightly dated 4 Star) instead — and I’m genuinely glad I did. The location, right off Marine Drive, was perfect for me. The room/suite was spacious, clean, and tastefully done, with a sense of quiet elegance rather than flash. The bathroom was excellent, and the shower had fantastic water pressure, which honestly makes or breaks a stay for me. What really stood out was the classic Indian hotel vibe. The Ambassador may seem a bit dated in terms of design, but I actually like that they don’t seem to be trying to imitate a modern Western luxury brand — to me, that’s exactly its strength. Think dark wood, traditional artwork, bas-relief details, and general old-world charm. It felt nostalgic in the best way, reminding me of the heyday of 1980s and 1990s Bombay — refined, confident, and unpretentious. Breakfast was good and satisfying — fresh, tasty, and well prepared, though the variety was a bit limited. Service throughout the hotel was warm and attentive. Overall, for the price point, this was excellent value. A comfortable, classy stay with character and history. I would happily stay again and recommend it to friends looking for something authentic and well run rather than cookie-cutter luxury.

In need for some serious maintenance + upgrade Pros: - Very courteous and friendly staff - Decent breakfast spread / food - Comfortable and clean beds. Decently sized rooms - Superb location for access to all of Mumbai by train, metro, cab & bus. Walkable to major attractions. Cons: - Terrible state of bathrooms. No ventilation fans. BLACK MOLD in the shower. Woke up with headaches & insisted on changing rooms asap - Bathrooms are 2 levels higher than the floor in the room! Needed an additional stool to get in. Very Strange. - Room Tariff does not justify the dated rooms. I guess they charge for the location. Special mention to Mr.Naren for helping me out with change of rooms. Very kind and accommodating gentleman. Thank you sir.

This place is like going back in time yet being in the center of things in a bustling city. I wish I could have done more. I enjoyed the short time we had. The staff and services, dining and room service were great.

One of the old premier hotels that is showing its age. Could benefit from a facelift.

The management, staff at the front desk as well as the cleaning staff were very friendly, helpful and hospitable; I would recommend this property because of this anytime.
