Nice room, clean with all the amenities needed. There is no elevator, so it is 65 steps to get to the third floor. Access to parking is hard and driving in the historic part of the city is difficult, so better to get walking, taxi or public transit.

Excelente hotel. Pra um hotel de 2-3 estrelas, o quarto é excepcional. Confortável, limpo, com ar condicionado, secador de cabelo, chuveiro bom, cama boa, frigobar, serviço de arrumação de quarto. A localização também é muito boa, 10 minutos a pé da estação e a poucos passos de toda a parte turística de Florença, que também é linda. Pessoal da recepção simpático e receptivo. Quando se chega no hotel e sobe pra recepção, pode até se ter uma impressão “estranha” do hotel, mas é só até ai mesmo. Apenas é bom se atentar para o horário da recepção, que é das 8h às 20h, pra caso precise deixar as bagagens por lá até o seu trem/aviao/onibus, pra buscar as bagagens até as 20h, se não não consegue mais entrar no prédio.

The entrance was a single door and it was locked, so it was a bit hard to find. But if you ring the buzzer, you can get in. The person inside was very kind.

Great staff and service.

The hotel is really small. We are a family of 4 and we didn’t even have space to move inside the room. Our king bed was 2 beds together that you can feel the separation in the middle of the nights.

Extremely close walk to everything. The location caught me off guard at first because you can't get dropped off directly in front of it but very nice staff.

Not too far from the main train station if you don't have heavy luggage to drag. It is on the first floor. There is no elevator. Reception is open from 0800-2000. Out of hours check in and check out has to be pre arranged. Reception staff is very friendly. You will be welcomed with a broad smile and an espresso. Rooms are spacious and clean. Bathroom is contemporary and clean. Most round are on 2nd and 3rd floor. Choose this for the convenience. River, most attractions, eating places and shopping places are within 1-1.5 km distance.

We enjoyed our stay in Florence. The hotel was close to the action, easy to find. Checkin was smooth and the staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The queen bed was two twins pushed together but everything was cozy and clean.

The staff was excellent. Extremely polite and helpful. The hotel however is one step above a hostel. I was honestly shocked that it had such high reviews. The hotel is located down an alley and was slightly hard to find. If you require late check in (after 8pm) this place is not ideal. The room was so cramped for three people and the bathroom was also extremely small, as most European bathrooms are, but this one was smaller. I did shut the bathroom door when going to shower and the door trim to the bathroom fell off when I shut the door. It was incredibly loud. The AC barely worked but the alley is too bustling to keep the windows open. If you’re looking for the 3 S’s (sh*t, shower, sleep) then this place is fine. I’m glad we only booked one night. It is however very nicely located.

Hotel Esperanza is truly an amazing hotel! The rooms are super comfortable and very clean. Everything has been thought through for the guests' convenience. The staff, in particular, is so attentive, always trying to assist with anything. You really feel at home here. Also, the hotel's location is fantastic! It's very close to the city center, which makes it easy to get to all the places you want to visit. So, you're not only comfortable but also get a great opportunity to explore the city. In short, Hotel Esperanza is the perfect choice for those looking for both affordable and quality accommodation!

A quiet little street around the corner from shopping and restaurants and bustling streets. Very close to the river Arno and the Ponte Vecchio as well as the other sites. Excellent place to stay!

Andrew the hotel manager was super helpful and friendly. However the image of the hotel looks nothing like the real thing eg it is not by water. Use google maps to find it, it is down a narrow alleyway conveniently near, well in, the very centre of Florence. Negative aspect is that there is a garage repairing cars on the lowest floor that can be noisy within working hours.
