GALA Hotel was okay overall for the price, and the room itself was nice and comfortable. However, I didn’t like that our room was right next to the reception area because there was almost no privacy. People were talking loudly all day working answering the phone talking to other staff members while we were trying to sleep, which made it hard to rest. Another disappointment was that the restaurant and bar are no longer open. I was expecting to have food and drinks available at the hotel, so that was frustrating. Overall, the stay was decent, but because of the noise and lack of amenities, I’m not sure I would stay here again.

The hotel is in an excellent location in a great neighborhood with many restaurants and all walkable. The hotel itself is very Charming and Funky, although they are doing a lot of construction so be prepared for that inconvenience and a little bit of dust. The staff is incredible and very helpful. I will definitely stay here again

A beautifully updated 8 room Castle, the rooms are large with high ceilings on a Gorgeous street in the Americana section close to. so many restaurants and food carts from early morning til late at night

Perfect, and perfectly situated in the best neighborhood. This historic building is charming and the decor is lovely with a super comfy bed. I was in room 8 which is perfect for a solo traveler. The staff are super helpful. Colonia Americana is the coolest part of the city and Gala Hotel is on the nicest street full of grand homes, coffeeshops and restaurants. Walkable to the city center and near to the wonderful University Art Museum. (4/5 for amenities only because the pool was undergoing maintenance when I visited.) Such a lovely place to stay.

My partner and I were stuck in Guadalajara during the security incident on Feb 22. The staff were absolutely incredible, going above and beyond to keep us well-fed and safe when the city was shut down. I am truly grateful for the kindness they showed. Prior to the incident, we really enjoyed all of the cafes in the neighbourhood. The hotel is in an excellent location.

The location and service were good. The shower was a little funky. The TV and Internet were hit and miss.

The room and bed were excellent! The staff were attentive and very kind. The restaurant they had partnership is now closed which was a bummer but I would definitely return. So many good options for food and coffee around!

En la habitación 1 se escucha todos los ruidos tanto de la calle como de la recepción y ni que decir del bajante del agua cuando en el piso superior la usan.

Good location, but mediocre hotel. Not terribly clean or well-maintained, awkwardly configured rooms (e.g. shower in the middle of the room), lacking some basic modern amenities, and built on top of a restaurant that blasts dance music during the breakfast hour. Has the feel of a place trying to be chic and stylish, but that don’t quite finish the renovation.

Very friendly staff! Cute, old hotel with nice decorations. The breakfast was excellent!

Personal muy amable. Reservamos un masaje en pareja el cual estuvo delicioso (si recomiendo). Las chicas muy puntuales y profesionales. En cuanto a la habitacion, la cama estaba MUY comoda, dormimos delicioso a pesar de estar en una zona concurrida. El agua de la regadera salia caliente/fria sin problema, Buen wifi, muchos lugares cerca para comer. Si regresamos y recomendamos.
