Wonderful view and clean room. This hotel was gorgeous and located in a very convenient place. Short walk to city center and we had a very good time the Auckland fish market and harbor.

Great location and hotel

We stayed at Sofitel Viaduct Harbour for 5 nights, and it was nothing short of amazing. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel completely at home. What stood out the most was how genuinely kind and friendly they were to my son—they made him feel so special every single day. Whether it was a warm greeting at the front desk, a thoughtful surprise, or just taking the time to chat with him, their attention made our stay unforgettable. He had such a great time, and it’s all thanks to the wonderful team here. The hotel itself is beautifully designed and perfectly located for exploring Auckland. The room was spacious, quiet, and clean. We also loved the pool and the calm atmosphere throughout the property. Thank you, Sofitel, for going above and beyond. We can’t wait to come back!

Bed was humpbacked, not a lung but 2 twins pushed tight. First room was next to a bus depot that was incredibly loud. Broken coffee maker. Plugs by bed too low to plug in anything but a thin plug.

My hubby and I really enjoyed our stay. We had a luxury room with a balcony which was lovely. The deep soaking bath was also lovely! Nice quiet room and very friendly staff. We look forward to returning again soon.

Excellent staff and excellent property.

The service was amazing, staff are all friendly. You ask for room service and you get it quickly. Complementary bottle of champagne given to celebrate my wife's birthday. Swimming pool and spa are great. There are saunas in the female and male bathrooms - I wish there was a co-gender sauna room so my wife and I could go together. Apart from that everything was perfect including the breakfast buffet. Thank you team at Sofitel!

The shower head fell to bits talked to desk staff and they organised a maintenance person to fix it straight away with no problems whatsoever

I arrived late so wasn't surprised when I wasn't greeted at the door but all staff were friendly, accommodating, very "can-do." The Irish porter was lovely. Warm pool and gym impressive. Decor of room lovely.

Overall, everything was amazing. Buffet breakfast was delicious and great variety. Spa, pool and sauna were peaceful and felt very private. Only qualm about our room I missed my usual pillow from home, but the bed was comfy enough. One small disappointment was the drink included in my spa treatment package was forgotten, I was left waiting. But other than that, the spa treatments and overall stay were AMAZING! Reception was very helpful in allowing and organising us to store somethibg in their freezer. Thankyou very much. We’ll definitely choose this hotel again in the future

This property has been without air conditioning for months. The stay was very uncomfortable as the room was extremely hot. My sister was next door with portable air conditioner. They had no more of those so we got fans and having to keep the doors open all night for air was very noisy in the morning with construction going on. I have stayed at Sofitel for work in the past and always a pleasant experience. This time was a bad experience. No sleep, hot and noisy. When asked at checkout, I gave my complaints. All I got was, “So sorry” the air has been out for months! I was not offered a discount or refund or even a free 2 day stay at another time. Being out of the country, I will likely never stay at a Sofitel again. Very disappointed I was not made aware of the air issue before my arrival or I would have booked somewhere else.
