환상적인 숙소에요. 빅폴 레인보우게이트까지 걸어가기 딱 좋았어요. 궁전같은 호텔이면서 친절한 직원과 훌륭한 식사 모두 완벽했어요. 다음에 짐바브웨 가면 다시 꼭 머물거에요.

오래된 고풍스러운 호텔 외관은 보고 있기만 해도 기분이 좋았다. 호텔에 머무는 품바와 원숭이 가족을 보는 것도 매일의 즐거움이었다. 모든 직원들은 항상 친절했다. 잠비아를 잇는 빅토리아 다리가 보이는 호텔의 환상적인 뷰는 절대 잊지 못할 것 같다. 오래됐기 때문에 욕실 시설에 조금의 불편함이 있지만 모든 것을 감수할 만한하다. (배수, 환기가 잘안됨) 다운타운과 걸어서 5분 정도고 빅토리아 폭포도 걸어서 갈수있지만, 사이에 호객꾼들이 많아 불편할 수 있다. 행복한 허니문이었다. 우기에 다시 한번 가고싶다.

Very classic and traditional hotel which is over 100 year old. Close to the Fall - about 15 min walk - and also easy to cross the border to Zambia(personally think it has the greater view). Staff were very friendly and always ready to help. Bathroom was well equipped but not clean enough.

First of all, we felt very uncomfortable with the whole set up of the hotel where concierge welcomes you with colonial style uniforms with decor that indicates the price of colonialism, and it certainly feels like it attracts people who celebrates colonialism. For normal educated minds like ours, it was a hall of shame, to put it bluntly. On our first night, we had no water so we called the reception to arrange a repair. A while later I get a call back from the reception asking to check if it’s working. Throughout these exchange we received absolutely no word of apologies. For a room service, they charge outrageous $10 for a $10 sandwich which is not even delicious. Restaurant staff was under trained to say the least. A manger looking person kept asking if staff are trained and if we enjoy the dinner. In such situations, guests would normally remain polite and would not complain about something they can fix right away such as lack of training. It happened in every dining place we tried in the hotel but one thing they certainly don’t do is to actually check themselves whether their staff are well trained because they certainly aren’t. Not attentive, food is not great, and on top of that a waiter kept asking if we want a bill when we told him we are not in a hurry. He still brought it to us anyway. Overall, the hotel is located in a beautiful setting but it’s not worth the price we paid for.

VFH is a fabulous iconic hotel with wonderful views of the bridge and the spray rising from the falls. Everything about the hotel is top class and we had a great stay here.

Old colonial building. Quite a formal hotel. Lovely room. Nice gardens with view of the bridge. Walking distance to shops.

Place of high standards on fabulous grounds

Every part of our stay was 5 stars, but especially all the staff from Michael at dinner last night, to the super helpful and curteous front desk staff, to the cleaners and finally Veronica who was just charming at breakfast this morning. What a lovely place and people.

We had the most wonderful stay at the Vic Falls Hotel. The hotel has an incredible history, central location , breathtaking views and warm staff which ensured we had the best stay we could have hoped for. Whether spending the days lounging by the pool or walking to the falls, the hotel staff catered for all of our needs and more. It was a special trip thanks to our stay here and I couldn’t recommend it any more highly.

We were really looking forward to our stay here and the hotel delivered. Our room was gorgeous with a really gorgeous aesthetic that balanced Classic and modern design. Service was really nice and staff very friendly (especially Lauren at check in). We organised transfers through the hotel; and all of them turned up perfectly on time which really impressed me. My one criticism would be the Livingstone Room, it was marketed as a very high end restaurant, and the service was lovely indeed; but the food was quite mediocre and forgettable and many of the wines were unavailable. In addition, the vegetarian option was the same as what I ate the night before on the terrace which was disappointing. Nonetheless, the history and character of this hotel was exceptional and we had a truly lovely stay.

It feels like the hotel is trading on its former glory. The room is charged double what it’s worth. Most wines on the menu aren’t in stock, you’re harassed constantly by helicopters and street vendors, the gym is under furnished and they had no pool! That was the main reason we wanted to stay

Over rated for the price . Condition is very outdated and worn out . Great location and view. Friendly staff however were not accommodating.
