Beli kad Suica ini hanya untuk melengkapkan pas JR sekiranya terdapat kereta api ke kawasan tertentu yang tidak dilindungi oleh JR. Semalam trip saya Tokyo-Osaka-Kyoto-balik Tokyo. Alhamdulilah, banyak pas JR yang dilindungi jadi saya tidak perlu terlalu menggunakan kad suica ini. Oh ya, gunakannya semasa dalam satu perjalanan di Kyoto, kerana di Kyoto kebanyakan orang menaiki bas. Kelebihannya ialah anda juga boleh menggunakan membeli-belah di mesin layan diri atau di pasar keluarga, sebagai contoh.

Perihal Suica IC Card

Explore Tokyo without the need for cash using a pre-loaded Suica IC Card for travel on the JR East trains, subways and buses. Ride the network with a tap of your Suica IC Card, preloaded with JPY 1,500, which can be further topped up at any Suica IC Card redemption station. Your Suica IC Cardcan also be used at selected vending machines, convenience stores, and even restaurants in various locations.

Good to know:

The Suica IC card can only be used within the card's network area, JR East lines in the Tokyo metropolitan area, as well as subways, buses and the Tokyo Monorail that connects Haneda Airport with Tokyo, and is not valid for travel on the Shinkansen Bullet Train.
The Suica can be used for certain transportation systems in the Sendai and Niigata, Hokkaido, Tokai, West Japan and Kyushu areas.
The Suica cannot be used for continuous travel between areas. The use of transportation begun in one area must be ended in that area. When crossing from one area to another, first leave the ticket gate and then re-enter.
Child Suica IC card can be purchased at any major JR East station Ticket Offices with identification.
Balance value and deposit can be refunded at the JR-WEST Ticket office.
A handling fee of JPY 220 will be deducted from the amount of money remaining on the card.
A maximum top-up amounts JPY 20,000 at Automatic Ticket Vending Machines.
