Included in the itinerary is the Wat Suan Dok where the ash remains of Chiang Mai's Royal Family are kept. There’s also the enchanting Wat Phra Singh, dating back from 1345 A.D. and known for its collection of fine buildings as well as an old library. For more doses of culture and history, head to Wat Chedi Luan and Wat Jed Yod of Seven Spires. The oldest temple of the group is called Wat Chiang Mun, housing two sacred Buddha images and the chedi with the surrounding stone elephant heads.
