The room is large, clean and comfortable, with a double sink and a separate shower and toilet. The only gripe I have is that there is no door to the shower, so it got a bit cold when we stepped out of the warm shower.
There is a cozy lounge on the ground floor next to the reception, where complimentary tea, coffee, drinking chocolate and water are available throughout the day. We made full use of these as they saved us the hassle of boiling water in the kettle provided in the room. There are also complimentary washers and dryers with detergent provided as well.
The young man at the reception (sorry I didn't get your name) is friendly and helpful. The staff also sent us directions and driving information which proved useful in finding our way to the motel.
All in, a solid place to stay in.

The stay at the Captain at the bay is awesome especially the bath tub is just beside the bed. After a long day of travel on the great ocean road, it is a best place to relax. The breakfast was nice and the hotel staff is friendly.

We had a one night stay here on our Australia trip. We stayed in the Captain's Cottage which was a lovely, spacious room. It was beautifully furnished and the bed was one of the most comfortable we've ever slept in.
There is complimentary tea and coffee for guests in the main building, as well as in the rooms. We went in to get a drink at about 8 pm but the coffee machine had run out of most choices and the water to make the tea was lukewarm. Not a huge problem but maybe something to think about for the owners.
Overall, it was a great place to stay and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend it.

We had rented the cottage and loved it for privacy and convenient parking. It made handling the bags easy. There wasn’t a restaurant or any food included, but the recommended nearby restaurants turned out to be a delightful experience. Staff was friendly and very helpful. Just make sure to arrive before 5:30 PM as we were left with the understanding that staff were gone after that time.
