Clarendon Motel and Guesthouse

Room very ordinary and comfortable and just OK. However, the Manager is very helpful. He is quick to respond to residents' reasonable requests. He will go an extra mile to help out on residents' legitimate requests.

The property is a bit old, but I think that's reflected in the price. If your expectations are not too high, then you won't be disappointed. We like it because it's close to the town centre and restaurants, and is basically pretty comfortable. This is our third or fourth stay and find the staff to be really friendly and welcoming. Will definitely stay again!

Comfortable, Affordable and clean. Basic amenities. Everything you need

Convenient for everything while very very cost at the nights;

First room was so mouldy asked for another room. Second one was better but was dated and had a bad odour. Was expensive for what was provided. Would not recommend.

It’s been renovated right now and it’s very old and in need of upgrades. Shower was not good at all and water was a dribble.

It was the worst motel I have stayed at in the world.

Fine for overnight bed

The location was convenient to the trails and amenities. The property is run down but sheets and towels were clean. There was a horrible smell in the room, probably mold. Air freshener did not help. The owners amd staff were very friendly and kind.

Worn out

I booked the Clarendon because we were attending a birthday nearby and this was the closest to the location and as it happened, we were next door! So for us it was perfect as we could just walk to the party and not worry about taxis or ubers, it was also just the one night. The Motel itself is a little run down and it looks like there's work being done but also not sure when the work started or likely to finish. The room was comfortable, we had two queen beds in our room and the bedding was clean though the pillows were hard and not so comfortable. It was clean and we were fine to stay the night. The location though is fabulous, walking distance to the main street for food, shopping....all you need is just there. The location is fab, the motel is a little run down but if you're staying the weekend on the cheap, it's a great little stay.

Not the best motel, it’s in the middle of Reno’s but it’s somewhere convenient while visiting family across the road.

The first thing you should know is that the property is mid way through being renovated so the place looks a bit of a mess but we had a clean comfortable room with everything you could need. the hotel is at the bottom of the main street in Katoomba so the shops and places to eat are close by. The staff were also very helpful.

Got there after hours check in room was musty , there was no mention of construction to the pool and the bed was like lying on bricks

Really great value for the price. Considering we were just there to sleep, this place had everything we needed in a room. Clean, firm but comfortable bed, shower with good water pressure.

Good tidy room with all amenities and 5 mins walk to shops

This place may have been great once but that time was long ago. They say they are renovating but I think that may have been a euphemism for “holding on too long to a crumbled relic and still expecting people to pay while the place basically falls down around the guests”. The guy behind the counter did his best, with his tissue box webcam holder and refrozen toast and mercifully we got out without the building falling on our heads. Future guests - Goodluck. Great location though - for a future demolition site!

Motel unit, although a bit dated, was clean and convenient to the attractions of Katoomba. All at a good price.
