Clydesdale Manor

Great location, friendly staff, nice clean room.

The location is convenient and the place is clean and well maintained. However, we booked the two bedroom suite (called Premium Apartment) and the setup was very inconvenient - there is no lock to the entire suite. Instead, after you open the door (no lock) to the suite, there are separate locks to two rooms. The main bedroom with kitchen and living area are to your right with a slam-shut lock door (automated lock once the door shuts). The second bedroom is to the left with a separate slam-shut lock door. It would be extremely inconvenient at night for the person staying in the second bedroom - I had to constantly keep the keys in my pocket at night for going to bathroom, as I would have to use the keys to unlock the entrance to the main living area for using the bathroom and then to unlock the door of the second bedroom in case I get locked out myself at night. Additionally, the TV only has antenna connection - no youtube or netflix or ability to connect with your phone to play media. Inside the suite, the head bolt lock of the door to the balcony nearly came off. You can book the single room/suite, that would be fine. The setup of the Premium Suite needs significant change - especially regarding the door locks.

Nice hotel

This is a beautiful property and we hope to have the opportunity to stay again. The continental breakfast was plentiful and fresh, the kitchen being well stocked with a variety of tea, coffee, cereal, bread and toppings and juice. The accommodation was spacious and clean and the staff friendly and helpful. The off-street parking is extremely easy to access.

Location is excellent. Beautifully furnished.

Great stay once again at the Clydesdale. Walking distance to shops and restaurants, always clean and generous breakfast of cereals, toast, yoghurt and fruit. Warm and cosy too.

Lovely property

The manor was very lovely and quaint. The room was small but well equipped and very clean. Grocery store and restaurants close by. Continental breakfast and use of a full kitchen. Staff were lovely. The place was very quiet and would recommend it, the place had only 8 rooms.

Room was very nice and so was the continental breakfast. The driveway was steep and access on and off of Sandy Bay road was not for the faint-of-heart. Location was convenient for restaurants, Battery Point, Salamanca, and Franklin Wharf.

Return trip as we booked 2 nights at beginning of holiday to Tasmania and our last day as well. Rooms are wonderful, clean, comfortable beds, great self serve breakfast.

King bed was awesome, clean, spotless room and friendly staff. Would highly recommend! Quiet, large rooms and so nice to have self serve breakfast in the morning room. We walked to waterfront and great ethnic restaurants close by. We had 2 nights and then touring about Tassie for 8 days and then coming back to Clydesdale for our last night.
