Cottesloe Beach Hotel

I think the price paid does not reflect the standard. We checked into a room and it was one of the smallest rooms I’ve ever stayed in… pictures not reflective of what the hotel is really like. We ended up upgrading with total cost over Au $500 really disappointing. Worse was no parking onsite at all. Only one staff member helped us and older lady who was amazing. 3 other staff walked right past us trying to lift our suitcases up the staircase. Location fantastic but that’s about it.

Lovely location

The room was clean but a little dated. The rooms are above two restaurants but the noise is minimally and ends at 9pm. Its right across the street from the beach. Air conditioner blows ice cold.

Very friendly staff

David on reception was amazingly helpful and is a credit to the company. He also arranged an upgrade to our room which was incredibly kind to room 16. It has a huge balcony with a gorgeous sea view. The bed and pillows super comfy, very nice shower, and huge TV, not that we watched it. The room was also very clean

The location, staff and bar were off the scale.

Good location; right opposite the beach. Room could do with a refurb; decor slightly dated and silicone peeling off in shower. Location dictates lively atmosphere with various bars downstairs. Highly recommend new restaurant, Tiger Fish, that has opened.

This is a loud bar with only a few rooms over the bar. DO NOT STAY ON WEEKENDS! We arrived Sunday at 5pm, reception was closed. The bar manager put us in a very tiny room in back away from the hotel bar but it was next to a late night disco with constant boom that was impossible to sleep until it closed. Loud drunks were singing in the street afterwards. It was the worst hotel experience ever. Free parking is impossible when the bars are open. The hotel does not mention any of this in their website description. The coffee maker had not been cleaned and the milk was curdled. There is no elevator and no porter to carry bags upstairs. We were fooled by the advertising. DO NOT STAY HERE!

Liked Deco style. No lift. Room very small. Hotel being refurbished which we were not advised of. Staff helpful.

Had to check in late but message sent did not contain key box code. At 0400 and then 0330 the following morning someone was dragging furniture around their balcony.

Superb staff, fantastic meal at the restaurant, quiet and safe location near the beach, well-kept older building with art-deco charm. Competitively priced with unique character. Had a great stay and will come back again on the next trip!

Directly across the road from the beach

We stayed to sleep overnight after the party so it was okay but if for a holiday room was very small & no room for luggage. Also hotel doesn’t have parking, only few bays of all day parking on the street next to hotel otherwise have to park 2 block away.

Gorgeous view, beautiful swimming beach

Really disappointed- we’d chosen this hotel for our last night in Australia and spent A$569 for a Saturday night. We chose a room, king suite, based on the photo which looked as if the balcony was directly overlooking the sea- it was not. There was a busy road and big car park between us and the sea/beach and it was very noisy. There is no hotel parking just pot luck on the road at the side of the hotel and the car park opposite had a 3 hour limit. Fortunately the housekeeper let us have her space when she left for the day. We had stayed in much better positioned hotels for a lot less during our previous 4 weeks.
