Noisy residents

Staff were lovely and polite Price was cheap Bathrooms clean and hot water good Zero wifi connection though says 5 bars doesn’t work Beds very soft but clean Carpet in room - wouldn’t want to walk barefoot on it Worst issue was noise - noise on from downstairs and to be expected but the roads there were trucks all night long every 30seconds or so non stop. It was miserable I was awake from 1am to 6am and driving from Melbourne… heating was ok tv ok security ok ps we were in family room I suspect the rooms at back would be alot quieter

The pub itself is old and run down, but despite that, it's a great pub: lots of separate areas to sit including a large undercover outside area: the staff are great: he meals are great, and my room, although an old run-down pub room, had an excellent bed, good comfortable chairs and desk, and plenty of towels etc. The shared bathrooms and kitchen are basic in the extreme, but adequate for a pub. I'd definitely recommend it, but probably not for anyone without a car, as its a long way from downtown.

When I book the room the site doesn’t show shared bathroom till I make payment Then I can’t cancel the booking For this reason i did not used the room

Staff in the bar were very helpful, even though it was very busy. However, I was disappointed as the bar/restaurant downstairs looked nice but the upstairs landing and room were very old and tired, with mismatched and peeling decor, and not very clean. The drawers were unusable in the room as they were full of dust/bits and the wardrobe was smelly. 2 handles had fallen of the drawers and were just put inside. The bed linen was fresh and clean with a comfortable bed. The 2 shared bathrooms were even worse with no paper towels or separate toilets for a number of rooms. So I showered at 5.30am and left. There was also a couple of loitering drunk people upstairs late at night. I don't know if they were guests or looking for the toilet. This did not make me feel safe as the accommodation is not separated from the pub. I expected basic but would not stay here again, it was pretty awful.

great old school pub, rooms clean and spacious, great beer garden and food good as well perfect for our stop off up to sydney.

Absolutely disgusting ,smell of urine from the toilets nearly made me sick ,no bathroom in the room had to share , I couldn’t stay there we went somewhere else I did not feel safe ,I will be seeking a refund 😡😡

Room could do with a mirror.

I was looking for an overnight place to stop whilst traveling. I must admit I like old Australian Country pubs which are (basic) always clean, great kitchens / food, hot showers and great beds. I was not disappointed.

Exactly what you'd expect from a 150+ year old hotel above a pub.

the hotel has old and run down shared bathroom that needs updating. Room Door locks falling off not working properly.
