La Grande Apartments Broadbeach

Pros: Excellent location, patrolled beach is literally straight across the road. Very difficult to get out of the apartment onto the road with a pram. Multiple gates that need unlocking, stairs and narrow uneven paths. But only takes 3 minutes to go around the other way. Pool was great, was easy to get a sunlounge. Only a short walk (5-10 mins) to main Broadbeach restaurant strip and shops. Apartment was roomy and spacious. Cons: Apartment was very tired and in need of a revamp. Carpet was very marked and it needed a good spring clean. The wall under the aircon had water marks running down it, there was popcorn and rubbish under the couch and tv cabinet, rusty clothes airer, the bin was filthy and the toilet in the main bathroom didnt flush the whole time we were there (4 nights) despitr them being aware of it. The plate behind the ensuite toilet button fell off everytime it was flushed, but a plumber did come and fix that promptly.

DO NOT STAY HERE!! Looks nice when you first walk in then you see ripped curtains,holes in cushions, dust everywhere and thick. Nothing feels clean. Half the lamps don’t work. Cook top not working, cups were filthy and no dishwashing liquid to clean them. Kitchen brush and sponge were filthy also. 1 roll of toilet paper given for 7guests and told they only supply for the first day. Only received 6 bath towels for 7 guests and after asking for another towel still didn’t get one. The bath was dirty, there was pubic hair left I. The bathroom and floor hadn’t been mopped in a long while. Was told at reception we could check in at 12pm so did some grocery shopping then went back at 12 to be told it would be another 1/2 hr and they would call me when ready so we were standing out the front with our suitcases and milk and eggs etc in 30° heat for an hour before going back to find out the hold up and they said they forgot sorry… Advertised as a 3 bed apartment but 1 room is a makeshift bedroom with no privacy at all, one wall is completely open beside the living room and is across from the dining kitchen area(not a bedroom). I don’t give reviews very often but this apartment was just terrible. The only good thing about it is that it is across from the beach that’s it… look up reviews on the actual property website. Something I should have done before booking this property….

Great position and facilities, beach access too.

First impression was we had walked into someones home, Too much of the decorative things and felt cluttered but homely. Clean tidy, amazing views. Carpets stained , curtains thin and old, lounge ripped and very stained ....was t somewhere you wanted to sit .

Close to so many dining options and transport.

Place was great for the price, it’s a little outdated and tv didn’t work but overall great place and good location.

The property is close to the beach and a 5 minute walk from the tram and restaurants

The property was spacious.The Queen bed was uncomfortable. We were happy with most other things, except the climb up and down stairs.

What a beautiful place to stay by the ocean. There were marks/stains on the bedding in one of the rooms. Starter pack provided for some things - washing liquid, dishwashing tablets, soap, tea, coffee, milk only. Missing starter packs for extra toilet role for the main toilet, extra bin lining in the kitchen, salt or pepper sachets & laundry powder. Otherwise we enjoyed our stay and the view! Reception lady was lovely!
