Marlo Hideaway

We had a comfortable stay at the Marlo Hideaway. Good size room with all the facilities we needed, including some welcome food/supplies.

Thank you Bec & Jeff for a most wonderful stay. We loved all the little touches in the room which made it really comfortable. From the local produce in the kitchen, super comfy bed, newly renovated bathroom and the stunning view out the kitchen window. Marlo Hideaway was one of our most favourite places we have stayed.

We stayed in the new cabin and it was perfect. Very comfortable and nice aesthetic. Short walk to the pub to watch sunset over the water while having dinner. Perfect.

Great hosts. Nicely kept and lovely location with great grounds and spots to sit and relax.

Now I know why this property has got an exceptionally high rating! Well-deserved! It was what all the reviews mentioned - cozy, clean, not just inside but the surrounding. Met Jeff, the personable owner who’d waited for my family of 5 as we had a late check-in. It was such a bonus to have the nice sourdough bread for breakfast w tea/coffee. Definitely worth the effort to be here for a relaxing stay.

Perfect place to stay. Jeff the host made us feel at home straight away. Room was very clean, and comfy with everything you need. Fully equipped kitchen inside but a lovely outdoor kitchen if you had a larger group. Kitchen window looked out to a field with horses which gave you a sense of contentment. Short stroll to the local pub that had great food and a balcony with incredible views. Perfect for watching the sun set. We’ll be back.

What a gem of a boutique retreat. They had thought of everything you would need in a self-contained apartment. Comfortable, clean, cosy and tastefully decorated with fantastic artwork. Lovely grounds and lots of facilities for such a small property. We only had time to stay one night and we needed more. They provided a long list of local attractions that we could have filled our time with. Or we could have just chilled out by the pool or in the outdoor kitchen. Thoughtful supplies provided and a wonderful welcome. Would definitely recommend.

A well kept motel, extremely clean and comfortable room, with thoughtfully equipped kitchen. Owners are evidently courteous and working hard to keep the property in top condition. Highly recommended.

Amazing little place to stay, an absolute hidden gem!! We loved the artwork, the cosy homey feel while still staying contemporary, the comfy beds and the little touches!!! The fresh ground coffee, local butter and fresh sourdough bread were really appreciated. There were lots of cooking utensils provided and plenty of fresh towels and extra blankets. Some shelving or hooks in the kids' room would be handy, but we loved the storage area leading to the bathroom. Gorgeous garden, mud bricks and outdoor kitchen for warmer weather. Pool and cubby house for the kids too!

Stayed here to break up the trip back to Melbourne. Very friendly staff, clean rooms, walking distance to the pub for dinner. Nice walks around the area. Very happy.

This is an absolute gem near the mouth of the Snowy River. The accommodations are simple, with just enough room for the beds, kitchen, tiny bathroom, and dinette, but everything is very tidy and well-maintained. The owners welcomed us, providing a few local products for our breakfast. Really, though, it's the outdoors that makes this place so attractive. The property itself invites you to cook out in the outdoor grilling area, play in the small pool (it was winter, so we resisted), and explore the natural wonders in the region. Would definitely return with the family for a more extended stay.

An awesome tiny house with everything you could need. Amazing use of space. High quality fittings and fabulous shower. Very comfortable bed too. Generous provisions and lovely sourdough bread. Wonderfully relaxing setting.
