Lovely spot. Got a free upgrade to a waterfront room, employees were extremely friendly and welcoming. Yes, the room was outdated but thats the charm of the place. Comfy beds, clean bathroom, and a great espresso machine in the rooms with local coffee pods. We had dinner at their restaurant - amazing food and service. Incredible unique menu using local food and produce with an amazing ambience. You can not find this at a Hilton nor a Marriot. Could not recommend The Waterloo Hotel more. Not to mention Swansea is a sweet little town on the water with great coffee and an epic nine hole course.

This hotel is in a good position however it is extremely extremely old and outdated. One of the reasons I booked was it has a restaurant/bar onsite. What they don’t tell you is that it’s only open Saturday and Sunday. We ended up going to IGA for something to put in the microwave. No breakfast available either. I would suggest staying up the other end of town near the tavern that serves food. A lot of the food places close at 3pm in town

Room neat and comfortable. Did not make contact with, 0r see, h/k staff. We booked some weeks ago, and noticed the website listed a restaurant, but on arrival found it was only opened at weekends. Had to go out for dinner (after a long days driving) and out for breakfast.
Would probably find elsewhere to stay if we go back to our East Coast.
