Windsor Riverview Inn

Location was perfect, right next to the river and a very short walk to the central shopping areas. Hotel is looking very tired, the TV only had 1 channel.

This morning I turned on the hot water in the shower to get it warm before I got in, well it was warm, so I attempted to get it hotter, but instead it got bloody COLDER, I'm almost 80 and well past needing a cold shower at 7.30in the morning I notified the owner when checking out and "oh no pressure " I said "No,no hot water " I even presented him with the receipt for the deposit for an extra $100.00 security deposit and wad given the reply that American Express would reverse the transaction, I am definitely not happy with the business. I asked about breakfast, the reply was none available if I want meals to go out down theroad and up the hill plenty up the main street, No I can't recommend this motel.

I dont usually leave reviews , but thought i had to here. The reception guy i give my bond money to i never received it back , so i contacted him 4 days later he said do i have my receipt i said no its in the room , he says i have to wait a week before i can recieve it because i lost the receipt, its been a week now still nothing. Im a qualified pestcontroller i travel around Australia for work and have stayed at many different places over the years the room i stayed in was by far the worst i have experienced for bed bugs , whole place needs a bomb to get rid of them. I now have to bomb my place at home as bed bugs are hard to get rid , i could feel them instantly soon as laying in bed , so i put towels over the blankets and slept on them. I wouldnt recommend this place even for a dog to stay at , absolutely terrible experience. The reception guy that was there didnt get his name but was of inidan appearance was rude and said the bond money would be put into my bank soon i left , nothing went in had to chase the money up still no money and its been a week now. Ill be heading in there on tuesday to get my money back , i have contacted Australian Competition and Consumer Commission as my father works there about the health and safety of people staying there as bed bugs can cause bad infections to people , so this should speed up the process of someome coming to check this place out .

Room was clean and tidy on arrival. I could clearly hear the neighbour's TV through the wall while I was trying to go to sleep. There was no lock on the inside of the door which means anyone with the key could let themselves in so I'm incredibly unlikely to book here again for that safety reason alone.

The bed was comfy, but couldn't be sure the sheets had been replaced since the last guests. Lack of room amenities - a tea towel was provided, but no dishwashing liquid; no toaster; 1 teaspoon; not enough soap, etc. This place used the excuse of COVID not to replace towels, etc. We had to pay a $100 deposit for our key when we checked in, but had difficulty getting it back when checking out. We did have a view of the Hawkesbury.

Nice views of the Hawkesbury River and farmland. Bed comfy and good size. Bathroom clean and tidy and good shower. Staff very friendly and helpful. Easy walk up to Windsor shops, 100m Short on room utensils and glassware (need to ask) Recommended! 😁😃

Very convenient location to restaurants and markets Rooms need some tender loving care and some upgrades Air conditioner was the loudest we’ve ever experienced Bed comfortable, room is semi spacious

A two night stop over. We have stayed several times at this site. Walking distance to a good selection of dinning options. Walking distance to one of the best markets we know . The site has improved over the years , but you still get what you pay for.

Only one bed in original rooms allocated. This was fixed on request. One of the alternate rooms provided was dirty and had not been made up. Again this was fixed on request

A nice place to stay we came for a weekend of boat racing we all liked the town and the area good food and and walking around..

Surprisingly for a low budget hotel the bed is comfy , service is good. The air con for heating is loud, though and turns off and on for temperature control. Great views from our room , shower was good pressure. Served us well for the purpose we needed (an overnight stay). I would stay here again.

The sheets appeared to not have been changed. Crumpled, with fluff and hair, looked slept in. Doona cover stained and grubby. Laid my bath towel on the bed to sleep on… Didn’t get in till late so had no choice, glad I didn’t have my wife with me. Bad mould in shower, like no one had cleaned it in a long time. Just really dirty unfortunately. But somewhere to stay for the night so better than nothing. Just want to bring this up as it was a bit of a concern. Pillows were comfy, and pillow covers appeared clean. Mattress itself was actually very comfortable… just didn’t want to get “into” bed. Really nice view of the river out the balcony. Not normally one to leave negative reviews, but feel others should be made aware. Very dated- but that was confused with grubbiness. With a bit of care and a clean up, would be a suitable overnighter.

There was roaches all over the bench top & roach poop in the fridge and kitchen area. Bed is comfortable. Location is convenient. Nice view of the river. Property needs to be updated.

Quiet, convenient for looking around the town.

Shower curtain was filthy and covered with mould, especially around the bottom half of curtain. Not acceptable. Parking a bit of an issue as spaces aren’t clearly defined, and there isn’t enough space for cars in car park anyway.

The room was comfortable enough, but the bedside lights did not work which made it extremely dark when we needed the bathroom at night.

Bins were not emptied from previous people. Old toilet roll on hanger Room wasn’t made up between days Doors didn’t shut properly Bed linen was clean clean Bathroom was just ok
