Chogogo Dive & Beach Resort Bonaire

Great diving center, access to the ocean, perfect for families!

There were no hand towels or soap which was strange. The room was nothing special.. had a few difficulties with housekeeping. Absolutely loved the pool and lazy river. Lots of available lounge chairs.

Rooms were comfortable, property was clean and maintained. Easy access to the city and restaurants. Very nice.

A fabulous resort! Hope to return.

Chogogo resort was awesome. The beach, the pool, the lazy river - amazing! Great snorkeling right there. Our studio was spacious and bright but lots of noise from construction across the roundabout. Staff were friendly and accommodating. Restaurants were good but selections limited. Quite a distance from downtown unless you rent a car. All in all, a very lovely getaway.

Chogogo is stunning! Beautiful flowering landscaping throughout. A lazy river that wraps around the property and a swimming pool that lights up at night. Great snorkeling right off the pier in the gorgeous ocean. I highly recommend a stay.

I had to change rooms because I wasn't given the room I ordered and paid for. Parking is very poor requiring me to park far from my room. The elevator (lift) broke down twice requiring me to take the stairs to the 3rd floor. This was especially difficult for my waife having had hip survery recently.

My second stay at Chogogo Bonaire, always perfect !!

We liked everything about our stay at Chogogo! It is located in a sweet spot where snorkeling right out back was fabulous. The bar on the beach had great food and was priced competitively- not more expensive than other eateries. There are fun dining options within walking distance, too. Resort is also centrally located on island making trips to dive spots easy. Rooms are lovely and had toaster, fridge, nespresso machine, and stove tops with cooking supplies making snacking in easy, too.

Stayed here for 3 nights. Property and rooms were very clean. The room was very spacious. Big refrigerator, stove with pots and pan for cooking if you would like and a table that seated 4 people. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Beach was excellent. Lots of fish. Lazy river was nice but need more of a current. Cons: Work was being done every morning right outside my room the whole time. No face and hand towels. No little soap to wash your hands to keep at the sink (there was an all in one in the shower). Would stay here again but will bring my own face towel and a bar of soap.

We ordered drinks and an appetizer while waiting to check in. spent 54 dollars and left a 12 dollar tip. The next day we were chased down on the way to the beach and accused of skipping our tab. Showed them the pending transaction on my phone, they stated that could have been a different transaction and still forced us to put the charge on the room. I expressed my frustration, but felt threatened that we were going to get put out if I didn’t comply. Rented a car from the resort and when we came back on sat there were no parking spaces left and we had to park out side of gated resort and walk back. No hand soap provided in the bathroom, (after the prior night didn’t want to ask them for anything so we bought our own) 1 pillow each, just a flat sheet on the bed, no wash cloths, house keeping every 3rd day, had to go to the front desk for fresh towels.

The good: Property was very nice, and room had a good view of the property and the ocean. The pools were nice and the lazy river was kinda neat. On site restaurants were good, and not too expensive. It was fantastic having the dive center right on site, as that was the focus of our trip. The bad: Room service was only every 3 days; only 2 towels and pillows, so additional needed to be requested. Room was next to the lazy river water slide, so there was almost constant kids screaming. All outlets were Euro 240v (adapters were available at the front desk, but they were poor quality and none of our US charging blocks fit them properly (other hotels on island provide US-style outlets as well as Euro). On Sunday morning, extremely loud music and DJ started up at about 6am... seriously (other mornings, the music was not as loud and started around 7, which was still annoying). There were no screens on any windows or doors, so leaving anything open after dusk resulted in a room full of mosquitos; and the air conditioner blew ice cold air directly onto bed, which made it almost unusable while in the room, so these combined for extremely hot and uncomfortable nights.

It was the most beautiful resort that I have ever stayed at. The lazy river and pool were gorgeous and the view... wow!! Very convenient for diving. Dive shop is on the property and lockers were close. Rooms were pretty basic, but clean and comfortable. My only two complaints were that the bath towels were looking a bit worn and rough and our room 2nd floor pool view by dive shop was right in front of the kids slide so it was pretty noisy from 9am - 7pm which cannot be helped. Stay on the South side if you want ocean front views.
