unfortunately, the experience at reception left a lot to be desired. Both during check-in and check-out, the reception staff were not welcoming at all. They were unfriendly and made me feel like I was inconveniencing them simply by expecting to be checked in. What was most disappointing is that they continued with their own conversation while I stood there waiting, making me feel invisible. It came across as unprofessional and very unlike the Avani service I’ve come to expect. A disappointing start and end to an otherwise decent stay.

Only one slight criticism, no information in the rooms regarding opening hours for breakfast, lunch etc, and checkout time, also no information on tours operating from the hotel. Apart from that I found the staff very efficient and helpful.

Comfortable one-night stay. The room was well furnished and in decent condition, though the AC was a bit tricky. Bathroom was very modern. The hotel has a nice decor,but some areas are showing signs of age. The pool area is nice and large, but could have been a but cleaner and needs new or more modern loungers and seating options. The food menu at the bar was limited, and the food was ok - not the best we had in Botswana, but not bad either. There was a DJ by the pool that was very loud (as seems to be typical in Botswana) but this finished at around 22:00 so did not disturb our sleep. There is no lift, but the staff did help by bringing our luggage up to our 1st floor room.

Very noisy on the street. Aircon is so noisy you have to turn it off. The restaurant was not open so you had to sit by the pool where some local DJ played loud music that was not to my liking. It was windy and cold. I believe the kitchen burnt down a while ago but noone informed me on booking. Left early...

The hotel is at the top of the range for price. Booked to rooms for government meetings, and one had no hot water..zero! Not an amenity on would even expect was in question?? Issue was reported, not fix fixed, and zero compensation or customer service….full rate, and a sorry about that??? Completely unacceptable at rate.

I really had very good stay and the room was very clean but i had a problem with the breakfast it was not up to the standard expected. i had asked for treat since it was on my birthday and i didn't receive it like in other hotels they do sing and give a small piece of Cake for the treat.
