I was so lucky to stay at one of the best 5-star hotels in Phnom Penh for my recent business trip. Poulo Wai Hotel and Apartment, an impressive home ideally located right at the heart of the city, which is the very perfect place for business travelers and a central spot for sightseers. The staff are very friendly and professional in their job. They were very busy but remained calm and very pleasant, especially the front desk staff, helping me to process the check-in with clear and precise information while also did their best job with the knowledge to suggest and arrange the dinner perfectly. Totally great experience. During the stay, please take your time to enjoy the sunset at one of the best rooftops looking to the River Royal Palace. You can also see the different vibrant of the city. We want to thank them all for making the holiday so awesome. All in all, the service was top-notch everywhere and I can't recall being disappointed with anything during the stay at this hotel. I will definitely return if we get a chance to do it again.

Received a drink on arrival with a cold towel which was a very welcoming gesture. Nice big clean room with good facilities. Loved the table tennis, pool table and swimming pool. Staff were really helpful with everything.

We were greeted royally every time we arrived at the front door. Breakfast was excellent, Sky bar gave a magificent view. The only negative (and i comment hesitantly because they are minor) was that the shower was not very hot in the mornings and i failed to receive a booked early morning call on the day of departure. Fortunately my cellphone did the job. Otherwise this is an exceptional property.

Was a beautiful hotel, the sky bar had a great happy hour and a stunning view. Pool area was kind of interesting with alot of birds and no sun. High pitch noise to keep away the birds was not working. Staff was super kind and friendly. Bed was nice and comfy.

Gros probleme de cafards dans les chambres. La premiere qu'on m'a donnée était infestée, j'ai changé malgré un produit mis par le personnel de l'hôtel. Ils ont malgré tout été réactif pour me proposer une autre chambre, qui elle aussi avait des cafards mais un peu moins... Le personnel est adorable!

They have a cockroach issue here. I was on the 17th floor and they were in my bathroom and a palmetto bug near the slide door. The staff are wonderful and addressed this issue as well as a couple others i had. Otherwise the hotel is clean and nice and breakfast buffet was well stocked. Once they address the roach issue it will be a nice hotel. I have pictures but it won't let me load them.

Very nice hotel! Clean. Beautiful rooftop restaurant. A 20 minute walk from the river and Royal Palace. The pool was nice and clean - but shaded. I didn’t look at that closely when I booked and was disappointed because I wanted to be in the sun. On the plus side, it was breezy up there, so very refreshing on a hot day. The staff was very friendly and friendly I had a really nice stay.

Property was very nicely appointed. Room was comfortable and clean. The bed was a little hard but that’s just a personal preference. Breakfast choices were good. Loved the views from the rooftop bar. Also enjoyed dinners there. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

Caught No 3 bus from airport as hotel was only a short walk from Stop 30. Really nice hotel with lovely pool, spa and well equipped fitness area. Was able to check in early after overnight flight and was upgraded to larger room with balcony. Room was very big and so was the bathroom, with separate large shower and bath. Room was serviced each day and it was good to see that they didn't change towels everyday (only on request). Breakfast was really good, fresh fruit, yoghurt, cereals, breads/pastries, salad vegetables, nuts, hot food (could have been kept a little hotter), omelette bar and noodle bar, coffee machines but only Lipton's tea 🙁. Hotel is in a good location, not noisy at night and walking distance to museum, palace, river, central and night markets and a number of temples. Didn't need a tuktuk to get anywhere. Lots of good eating places nearby especially heading towards the river. Beds was large and comfortable with plenty of good pillows and the wifi worked well. They even provided a USB charging bank, so didn't need adaptors. Glad I booked there rather than hotel I am now at on a group tour which is way out near the Olympic Stadium, with lots of motor bike shops and few decent eating places nearby.

Was off to a good start when I arrived. Got upgraded to a executive suite that was huge! Everything looks fancy at first glance. Unfortunately it went downhill from there. First night I was woken by a cockroach running down my arm. I managed to kill it & hardly slept the rest of the night. The guy at the front desk was very apologetic and gave me another room, also an executive suite. The new room unfortunately also had cockroaches. I was completely paranoid so I kept all my belongings firmly locked in my suitcase. Especially last night was bad. I used the wooden tissue box to kill several cockroaches. And they were big! About 2/3 of an inch. I stayed 4 nights. On the first and the last night there was no warm water in the shower. And I had it running for more than 10 minutes. On the third day the toilet stopped working. It couldn’t flush but it was fixed during the day though. The bed was very hard and uncomfortable. When I was checking out the front desk guy wouldn’t let me leave the hotel before the room was checked. Excuse me mate… I have a taxi waiting and the only thing you’ll find in the room are all the dead cockroaches all over the floor that I managed to kill. I was so not waiting for that. On the plus side: Most staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet was huge. The man at the ‘egg station’ was extremely pleasant. It was ok centrally located. I got 2 bottles of water in the room every day.

We were greeted royally every time we arrived at the front door. Breakfast was excellent, Sky bar gave a magificent view. The only negative (and i comment hesitantly because they are minor) was that the shower was not very hot in the mornings and i failed to receive a booked early morning call on the day of departure. Fortunately my cellphone did the job. Otherwise this is an exceptional property.

Was a beautiful hotel, the sky bar had a great happy hour and a stunning view. Pool area was kind of interesting with alot of birds and no sun. High pitch noise to keep away the birds was not working. Staff was super kind and friendly. Bed was nice and comfy.

Almost new hotel, nice room and bathroom. Excellent breakfast. Located in the centre of Phnom Penh, all major attractions and many good restaurants are within walking distance.

Great spot with a good breakfast each morning. I arrived at 1100 and they gave me an early check in, which was a huge plus. Bit of noise from the next room, but all up it was a nice place

Very nice hotel! Clean. Beautiful rooftop restaurant. A 20 minute walk from the river and Royal Palace. The pool was nice and clean - but shaded. I didn’t look at that closely when I booked and was disappointed because I wanted to be in the sun. On the plus side, it was breezy up there, so very refreshing on a hot day. The staff was very friendly and friendly I had a really nice stay.

Property was very nicely appointed. Room was comfortable and clean. The bed was a little hard but that’s just a personal preference. Breakfast choices were good. Loved the views from the rooftop bar. Also enjoyed dinners there. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

Caught No 3 bus from airport as hotel was only a short walk from Stop 30. Really nice hotel with lovely pool, spa and well equipped fitness area. Was able to check in early after overnight flight and was upgraded to larger room with balcony. Room was very big and so was the bathroom, with separate large shower and bath. Room was serviced each day and it was good to see that they didn't change towels everyday (only on request). Breakfast was really good, fresh fruit, yoghurt, cereals, breads/pastries, salad vegetables, nuts, hot food (could have been kept a little hotter), omelette bar and noodle bar, coffee machines but only Lipton's tea 🙁. Hotel is in a good location, not noisy at night and walking distance to museum, palace, river, central and night markets and a number of temples. Didn't need a tuktuk to get anywhere. Lots of good eating places nearby especially heading towards the river. Beds was large and comfortable with plenty of good pillows and the wifi worked well. They even provided a USB charging bank, so didn't need adaptors. Glad I booked there rather than hotel I am now at on a group tour which is way out near the Olympic Stadium, with lots of motor bike shops and few decent eating places nearby.

Was off to a good start when I arrived. Got upgraded to a executive suite that was huge! Everything looks fancy at first glance. Unfortunately it went downhill from there. First night I was woken by a cockroach running down my arm. I managed to kill it & hardly slept the rest of the night. The guy at the front desk was very apologetic and gave me another room, also an executive suite. The new room unfortunately also had cockroaches. I was completely paranoid so I kept all my belongings firmly locked in my suitcase. Especially last night was bad. I used the wooden tissue box to kill several cockroaches. And they were big! About 2/3 of an inch. I stayed 4 nights. On the first and the last night there was no warm water in the shower. And I had it running for more than 10 minutes. On the third day the toilet stopped working. It couldn’t flush but it was fixed during the day though. The bed was very hard and uncomfortable. When I was checking out the front desk guy wouldn’t let me leave the hotel before the room was checked. Excuse me mate… I have a taxi waiting and the only thing you’ll find in the room are all the dead cockroaches all over the floor that I managed to kill. I was so not waiting for that. On the plus side: Most staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet was huge. The man at the ‘egg station’ was extremely pleasant. It was ok centrally located. I got 2 bottles of water in the room every day.
