Tree House Bungalows Resort

Overpriced for quality of room. Very smelly bathroom and generally dated furniture. This place needs a refresh for the price. Staff were great when monkeys came and took over our balcony - got rid of them promptly. Location is good - quiet but not far from the main beach and restaurants.

Beautiful hotel in the rainforest.

Don't come here if you want 5 star. The rooms are not great basic is the best way to describe them. No TV, internet in the room not great and not all rooms have a sea view because of the trees. That being said the staff are professional, caring and just so nice. If you are looking for a place that has wild life on the balcony. Monkeys, lizards, frogs and birds this is the place. The island is beautiful people are amazing and it's so cheap. Staying at the tree top resort was amazing probably the highlight of my stay in Cambodia apart from Anchor wat. I would stay there again in a heartbeat, beautiful people. Chilling at the bar next to the sea, short walk from the main part of the island. Just perfect.

⭐☆☆☆☆ Very Disappointing Stay – Dirty and Unsafe I would not recommend Treehouse Bungalows. The place was dirty and poorly maintained -the room looked like it hadn’t been properly cleaned in a long time. The surroundings also felt unsafe, especially at night, with little to no lighting or security presence. For the price, I expected at least basic cleanliness and a sense of safety, but unfortunately, this stay was very uncomfortable. There are definitely better options nearby. Staff were lovely .

This place is a little run down and maybe needs some tlc but it has a very unique charm and atmosphere. The staff are great and very helpful. The area is mostly quiet and the private beach is beautiful.

This was a very nice stay, good food, good service, beautiful setting.

The staff are great, but the property needs a lot of maintenance

Treehouse Bungalows is one of the older original properties on Koh Rong. It does need a bit of TLC and could do with an update - particularly for bathrooms in the bungalows. The water was discoloured and the drains were smelly, particularly after heavy rain. We booked two bungalows for 6 days. We found bugs on the mattress in one of the bungalows and made the management aware. They changed bungalows for us but the alternate bungalow was much smaller and had a bad mosquito problem. :( On the upside, it does have a lovely, immaculately clean swimming pool, which is open in the afternoons. The main part of the pool is quite deep as it's used for scuba dive training, which is something to be aware of if you are there with kids. There is however a small, shallow pool that they could play in. The beach is also nice and staff at the restaurant are kind and attentive. It is a short walk - 5-10 mins to a load of restaurants, bars and shops but is still quiet at night time, which is nice. They also pick you up and drop you off to the main pier by boat, which is nice. Be aware that you have to pay in cash for the accommodation, so make sure you bring enough as there are no ATMs on the island You can pay your restaurant bill on a card though.

Bedbugs, bedbugs, and more bedbugs…

The resort is in a corner of paradise and the tree house was spectacular. The resort is quite tired and requires some updating but not too spoil the ambiance of the resort. Staff were friendly and attentive. Restaurant food was ok. Beautiful beach and location for watching sun rise. Easy walks either side of the resort to other bars and restaurants.

Bungalows are in an ideal location with sea views. Short walk one way to the main shopping/restaurants/Pier area and the other direction is a beautiful beach. The manager was great and was always helpful and friendly as were all the staff. The restaurant served the best food. Rooms are spacious but could do with a little maintenance. The pool was under maintenance and nobody was able to use it. For some reason the bins never got emptied and also the WiFi wasn’t brilliant unfortunately. But apart from that it’s well worth a visit.

Tout s est bien passé. Petite confusion pour venir nous récupérer au port mais vite réglé par le directeur. Très bel emplacement, pas loin du village et de beaucoup de restaurants. Bungalow Très bien pour 3, seul bémol la salle de bains à renover. Personnel tres serviable. Un rare hôtel au calme.

Relaxed beach resort. Super helpful recetion staff. Lively nightlife just 5 minutes walk. In house boat transfer.

The bungalow is not joined to another one. Detached so no noise from adjoining rooms like you get with hotel's. Breakfast is by the sea with an amazing view listening to the calm waves. It is situated near to the bars, restaurant and shops.

Le plus gros atout de cet hôtel est le site qui est magique. La plage et et le déjeuner sur le bord de la mer était un moment très apprécié. Avec un petit effort pour offrir quel item supplémentaire réfrigérateur, savon à main, serviette à main, café dans la chambre et quelques petits rénovations l’endroit serait parfait.

The view very beautiful and beautiful beach

Stayed in a treehouse. They are rustic but also very dated and in need of a refurb. It looks like work may be about to start on that soon though. Disappointed to see the amount of rubbish in the water, mainly plastic waste. The accommodation is very rustic but also very basic but I would recommend people visit.

Caputures the tropical island experience at it's best. Highly recommend it. We are planning a return trip in the near future!

Was a good experience, and was as clean and accommodating a treehouse can be. Lovely beaches only a short walk away. Cons could be that food is a bit more expensive and not as good as restaurants around the pier. Would also need to get used to the sight of small bugs and critters in and out of the room

The Resort needs a makeover. I appreciate its a treehouse with an amazing view but our bungalow (T5) had holes in the floor, no hot water, leaks in the roof (during the beginning of rainy season), noisy fan, dripping aircon unit, blocked drain in the very dated and rundown bathroom. Its overpriced for what it is. We had two meals there, the second was a breakfast with two dishes having hollandaise sauce - it was a unique taste. The pool will bring an added draw, when its finished. Take a torch, its remote and not the smoothest of paths to and from. Service was timely when used, the door lock is a padlock which meant we couldn't lock the door at night, we used our back packs. A dog sometimes slept outside our door too, harmless but just to let you know. Take mozzie spray, there seemed to be more in this resort area than anywhere else. Very responsive when an additional pillow and sheet were requested. Toilet paper, toothpaste/brush and shower gel are all supplied in the rooms. We enjoyed the experience but wouldn't stay here again for the price we paid. It was somewhere to sleep and shower. One more thing is that there were individuals playing on their electronic devices on full volume most of the time in the communal areas, It’s not a good vibe or very relaxing for guests.
