Check in was odd. We were helped by a young child who seemed confused and kept leaving to speak on the phone, presumably to the adult who knew what to do. She didnt take my ID to verify who I was. When we got to the room the door was wide open. To have a hot shower you will need to run the water for 5-10min to warm up. The rooms were as expected based on the state of the outside of the building- chips in the walls, peeling paper, and a poorly patched hole from the door handle where a previous patron must have opened it too hard. The television is old with a fuzzy picture regardless of channel. Booked for 2 people but there was only 1 towel. Staff seemed annoyed when I asked her for another. As well, they would only allow us one room key for 2 people, so we needed to make additional arrangements to complete pass offs in the middle of the day when one person needed access the room and we weren't together. At checkout, 10:30am, all the doors were locked to the three-in-one restaurant/convenience store/motel lobby. I called to ask about checking out and was informed to leave my key in the room and close the door. No hospitality. The current owners do not understand customer service, cleanliness, or the value of amenities. For the cost of this place, it should certainly be considered a scam.

The place was run down and there was no one there to greet us. The place was locked up. Terrible experience! Drove out of our way to go there. Not sure why Expedia would even advise this place!

This place is run down and from looks of it zero maintenance takes place , was missing one burner completely on my stove , shower head was messed up , room was dirty and not once in a week did they even attempt the change towels or garbage !!!! But they did come knock on my door 4 times trying to convince me to stay longer . Finally left and 99% positive key was in room and have had 3 phone calls in 3 days bugging me for a key that I don’t have . I don’t recommend staying here one damn bit !!!!!

For 150.00 you got crap! No hot water tired out dated food was not good either wouldn’t stay there again even if I had to sled another 100 klms absolutely disgusting should not even be on Expedias list!!

Late night check in was crazy Room didnt even have one towel or face cloth in it... NEVER Again

The room was very cold and the is no heat. Also, there was no WiFi.

this not a 5 star hotel but it is good, all we needed for an overnight stop, passing through. no complaints.

Dirty bandaid stuck to the wall, no hot water, room smelled of mould. It’s worth the extra drive to New Liskeard.

There was no shower towels the fridge wasn’t working, there was no coffee machine in the room or even continental breakfast. we ask for some towels never got them so yeah not very please

Lady at desk talked on phone while trying to check us .we purchased something for 2.95 told us price was wrong tried to charge us 6.99.rooms were not up to expedia standard.will never use this motel again

This place is in need of major up dates..had a hole rusted right through the bathroom sink. Bed was comfortable, stayed one night. Left early morning skipped the shower in the avacado green bathtub.

Property is rundown and in very poor condition. Amenities are very outdated and or missing

Location was good. When we arrived the motel office, store and restaurant was closed. We had to find somewhere to eat until it was opened. The same happened when we left next morning. Everything was closed. This property needs and update badly. Lots of potential there.

This place should be demolished. The only redeeming thing was that the bed was surprisingly comfortable. Noisiest bathroom fan I have ever heard. Quality of maintenance is absolutely terrible.

I needed a motel for a week at a time, and chose this one because it was the bigger of only two in Englehart. It is old and very basic - but the bed was comfortable and the room was fairly quiet, despite the motel being on the highway through town. The shower worked. The motel was reasonably clean. The bathroom walls had some damage from many years of showers, but there was no mould. There was also no in-room coffee maker nor was there a blow-dryer, so the second time I stayed, I brought those.
