Grand Motel Saint-Hubert

Room was dirty. TV did not work. Heat never warmed up the room. We checked in at 11pm and checked out at 5:30am. If it was going to be a full night stay, we would have left.

With some TLC and elbow grease, this could be a gem. However as it is, it gets very poor results for a reason. The property is older, and has not been upkept. That is part of the problem. Cracks in the wall, and peeling paint, being the most obvious defects. And the most easily fixed. I'm not saying that a fresh coat of paint will turn things around, but it is a definite step in the right direction. The staff were super nice, and very accomodating. Luckily I am also patient. The first room given was not the one we ordered (we ordered the jacuzzi). The next 2 rooms given to us had no heat. The final one also had no internal heater, but a working portable was in the room. It being late, and with limited options we settled in. The bed was extremely comfortable, and clean. Definitely no complaint there. If not for that, i would have left first thing in the morning. We decided to say the entire 4 days. The jacuzzi was somewhat a disappointment since the air inputs were blocked closed so very little pressure. In it's current state, i cannot recommend this motel except for emergency 1 night stays, or if you cannot afford anything more expensive. It's sad to see such potential wasted. If the current owner puts some money into this 100 room motel, it could be a gold mine. Until then, it is barely a coal mine.

TERRIBLE, UNSAFE, AND UNACCEPTABLE I had a very bad experience at this motel and I do not recommend it at all. This was by far the worst place I have ever stayed. It was an absolute nightmare from start to finish. The room was extremely cold. The heater was broken and completely non-functional, and we were shivering all night. The room was disgustingly dirty. It looked like it had never been cleaned. The floor was not swept or mopped, there were dead insects on the floor, and dust everywhere. We even found socks left under the bed from previous guests, which is absolutely unacceptable and disgusting. The bed was dirty, broken, and extremely uncomfortable. We woke up with back pain. There was no hot water for showering. We called the reception four times during the night and reported the issue, yet no one ever came to fix it. On top of that, the shower cabin was broken, the water did not drain, and dirty water accumulated in the shower, causing a strong sewage and toilet smell to spread throughout the room. On top of everything, this place felt completely unsafe. One morning, while we were sleeping, a woman violently knocked on our door, waking us up. She asked if her sister was staying in our room. This is absolutely unacceptable. How can a random person knock on guests’ doors early in the morning? This shows ZERO security, ZERO safety, and ZERO control. Some of the reception staff were very rude, unprofessional, and careless, which made the experience even worse.

Heating was not working.

Le chauffage ne fonctionnait pas malgré que c’était mis au maximum. J’ai pas passé la nuit finalement, c’était pas supportable à des températures de plus de -10 degrés. Merci!

Problème de chaifage

The room was filthy and delapitated, the sheets were unchanged and visibly dirty. The bathroom was dirty and in disrepair. I was afraid to open my bags there and left without a refund. Do not stay here

Aucun chauffage... tv qui fonctionne pas... salle de bain tres sale (plein de cheveux dans le lavabo.... ) chaise avec dossier brisée.... matelas tres tres tres inconfortable on s entais les springs.... on a quitté apres quelque heure... préférant allé dormir sur le sofa d un ami...

Nothing good to say

The room was not clean: sticky furniture, sticky floors and even the shampoo small tube was gooey!!! The sheets were dirty! The towels were dirty with black spots! The chairs were stained!! I asked to changed the bedsheets but I was offered another room… with dirty sheets! When I finally found a room unnoticed that the girl who showed me the previous room did NOT change the dirty bed but simply redid the bed with the dirty sheets!!! I had planned a two day stay but in left after one night! Horrendous experience The photos are either fake or 20 years old!! I decided to stay one night because I arrived late and could not go anywhere else!! DO NOT GOTHERE!

Make yourself a favour and do not stay here. Bad service and not one single ounce of a sense of cleaningness

Vraiment déçu de l’état de l’hébergement surtout en regardant la somme exorbitante que j’ai du payer, les draps n’étaient pas propres, la salle de bain encore moins et l’odeur de l’humidité suffocante. C’est vraiment le dernier choix à faire en cas ou vous n’avez pas d’issu et que y a un besoin d’hébergement sinon, je ne conseille vraiment pas de payer autant pour la qualité ni le service offert.
