Guardian Cottage

It is a private house. Very very hard to locate in the middle of cold night with not even a single light. Bed is worst than ikea. Switches are non existent. Wifi is very spotty and slow.

First thing I’d like to say is this is NOT a hotel. It is a house in a residential area. We arrived at 4 am and were eager to get some sleep. That appeared to be a lot to ask as the room was freezing cold and there was only one blanket on the bed. We literally had to sleep with all of our clothes in (hoodies, socks, pants etc) and we were still shivering all night long. There were no extra blankets in the closet and no way to adjust the heat in that room. The owner of the house was not there and we did not see or hear from the owner at all during our stay. The bathrooms were atrocious. We wanted to shower but didn’t dare. The tub had black rings around it and was covered in the hair of various body parts. Gross! The toilet had dried urine dribbles all over the seat and the back tank cover had an inch of dust and dirt on it. The sink had dried spit and shaved facial hair in it. The mirror was covered in splattered toothpaste. The walls were dirty and the floor was disgusting. There was hair, grime and dirt all over it, especially in the corners. Under our bed there was so much dirt and a bunch of unrecognizable things that could have been dead beetles or rotted dog kibble. I couldn’t tell because it was covered in dust and dirt. The kitchen was equally disgusting. Dirty grimy counters, sticky food caked light switches, hair, rotten food and dirt on the floor. The whole place hadn’t been cleaned in some time. The living area has no furniture. Stay away from this one!

I actually did not check it to this property because - It was a normal rental house in a residential area, like what you find from Air B&B. - It was not like what's shown in the picture, let alone the towels on bed. - It was not clean. - The entrance was not clear of snow and slippery. - It did not have a "front desk" to check in. - It is not a property legally for use as a hotel or motel, and yet it is listed among the Hiltons and the marriots on Expedia website. I have a feeling this is a scam, and the operators are trying to get your money and run.
