Motel 6 – Cornwall, ON

No plug near desk; had to use a nightstand for my laptop. No snow/ice removal in parking lot, no salt on walkways.

When I arrived I showed them my booking through hotels.com. The staff member at the front desk then tried to charge me on their debit machine. I showed them my paid receipt from hotels.com, they then tried to tell me that the funds didn't go through and to check my bank. I checked my bank and there were no funds taken but I told them that Hotels.com typically charges me the morning after my check in. I showed them my booking and my receipt sent by hotels.com again and insisted that I wouldn't be paying, as I already had. It seems like this hotel is deliberately trying to double charge customers that have already booked and paid through hotels.com and are ignorant of the process. Along with this, the doors to the hall don't even lock, anyone could just walk in. The rooms are pretty bad. Plywood patch jobs on the walls where holes were, hardly even a bed sheet of a blanket, dirty floors and counter tops that are worse than most hostels that I've stayed in. All in all it was a very bad experience and I'd highly recommend that no one stays here.

Room was good. It could use a little refresher but overall good value. Comfy bed and great shower.

This is a great place to stay. I will definitely be staying here again. A couple of thing should be taken care of; some sort of anti slip for the bath tub. If taking a shower the bottom of the tub is very slippery. I could be a safety hazard. Put some power outlets near the desk to plug in a computer and cell phone. Staff were very good, room very clean. A list of available channels on the tv would be helpfull.

The motel appeared to have recently been recently renovated. The rooms were great. Heat worked perfect, bathroom was clean and had everything we needed, including hot water in the shower. Enjoyed the Shoeless Joe’s right next door too! Great spot to crash for a couple nights when in town.

Rooms are clean

Lights weren't working in the room, floors and surfaces were dirty, smelled like cigarettes when the heater was running. things were broken in the room and no amenities were provided. Check in was friendly but the internet wasn't working so we had difficulties with payment. I wasn't given any paper work with room number or wifi, just told my room number verbally and given a single key card. The bed was clean and the room served its purpose as a place to sleep for a night but overall i was disappointed as it was the same price as much nicer places i stayed on the trip.

The room was good. Should have coffee and coffee maker at least in the lobby. Went for ice, sorry sir we have no ice. Friendly staff

Near shops and restaurants

Beds and bedding were good, bathroom had just been redone and was in very good condition.

The room wasn’t very clean, the toilet seat is broken, the fridge doesn’t work, the towels and bedding are stained or just not clean. I slept on the bed with my own blanket and pillow. I had to block the door with a chair because it was open when I got here and it was hard to close and keep it locked. This place is a pit of hell.

The room had been recently renovated and very clean and contemporary. Bedding and towels nice.
