NEW ROYAL INN

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. The staff was friendly, helpful, and always ready to assist. The location was convenient, and the overall atmosphere was welcoming and relaxing. I truly enjoyed my stay and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a great experience.

My room's exterior wall was full length glass and had to run electric heater full on to warm up the room which is a fair size. It is early spring, I had to move rooms because heater willl take too long, the 2nd room was better since it is slightly smaller, and smaller amount of windows. It has a kitchen with microwave, an air fryer, a hot plate would be handy. Appliances and kitchen ware are new and washed. However, parking lot is limited and street parking will have to be utilized during the busy season. Overall, a good experience for me in early spring and reception was friendly and understanding about the room heating.

We were disappointed with the property. It looked like a converted office building. Our suite had a twin bed in the living room area and the queen bed was in the kitchen area. There was no stove or cooktop or toaster. There was a convection microwave and air fryer, which they expect guests to use as a toaster. Apparently there was a way to make it work, but I didn’t have the time or inclination to read manuals to figure it out. There were very minimal utensils and dishes and no plug for the sink, with an old sponge left for washing up. The tabletop had a film of grease across it, but I only noticed it the following day so there was a definite ick factor. The space was heated with an old style heater/air conditioner unit that hadn’t been turned on prior to our arrival. In early March, it was cold enough to hang meat in there. It warmed up quickly, but it required the noisy fan to be running most of the night. There’s no heat in the bathroom so if you’re not shy or on your own, leave the bathroom door open to shower or you’ll feeeze. The staff are lovely, but they are working with an old property that doesn’t appear to have been originally built as a hotel, and it shows. I did ask about ventilation in the hallway as the smell of weed was very strong. New weather stripping around the doors could help. I hope whoever was indulging enjoyed themselves, but maybe do it outside next time.

Took us several days to get the heat adjusted. The sink was falling off the wall. There was no bathroom countertop. The toilet didn’t flush well. No facecloths.

Clean room, good a/c heater combo, comfortable bed, new kitchen appliances.

The room was large and very clean. I love the big bathroom and the fact that there were utensils and items to help cook food. There was convenient to where I wanted to go. It was nice to see if security guard at night. Wondering around checking the place out made me feel secure. I would definitely come back here again.

If you're expecting a hotel, this is more like a home-sharing situation but don't worry you'll get your own room. It was clean and if you needed a place to hang your hat for a night in New Westminster then this is fine. Outside my window there must have been a very brightly lit sign that was on the whole night so, though there were curtains the light wasn't quite blacked-out. Free parking was nice.

The 2nd staying there and was over all happy with it!

bed was a bit too hard, a mattress topper would have made a very comfortable sleep, other than that , we would stay again if ever we need to be that way again

Clean room great staff little loud at night. And not very hot water in the shower

Thi stay was the worse hotel i ever stayed. The room was dirty and there was a layer of dust over everything, the shower was very dirty with black marks on the ceiling, the toilet seat was broken, tables and all the surfaces was dirty. I have pictures but not able to upload here. I spoke with the manager and sent them the pictures but they didn’t do anything about it.

The parking was quite convenient and was free. The linens were nice and the couch was comfy

Super clean and a surprisingly large room!

You can only book online and there’s no front desk staff only the people from the security office next door. There are 6 parking spots total and the rest would be limited street parking. The hotel is practically new and very nice.

Nice clean, newly renovated room with lots of amenities.

It actually was more like staying in an apartment then a hotel which i appreciated.
