Newton Suite

We stayed at this apartment with our young kids after a day at the aquatic centre. When we arrived, we were surprised at the condition of the rooms. The bathroom had several (pubic) hairs all around the baseboards and tub, toothbrush splatters on the mirror, unswept/mopped floors, etc. I wish I’d thought to take more photos. There were not enough towels, pillows nor blankets for our group. Thankfully, we packed a cooler with snacks since the kitchen is not equipped for meal prep. Perhaps worst of all, the manager charged an extra $50 to our credit card once we departed because we left a couple (rinsed) dishes in the sink- no mention of this policy so we assumed it was part of the housekeeping. I didn’t realize they had our credit card information since I booked through Expedia! Clearly the tacked-on fees are not going to upkeep and cleaning services. Sketchy management, thin walls, un-walkable location, not well-cared for. Would not recommend.

There was so much hair on the walls is that the shower. No soap for the bathroom sink. Little black dots near the kitchen and bathroom sink. I don't think it was mouse poop maybe something else, I'm not sure what it was. There was also a used towel. I only stayed there for 8 hours, including sleep. Most of it was clean based on looks. But it makes you think that the cleaning was not done properly. The hair all over the shower was very noticeable. It was long hair. Also very warm in there. If you change the temperature, it does nothing because the floor heating is always on. I recommend opening all the windows as soon as you walk in since there's no AC. Wasn't terrible, it's livable, but some things were kinda gross

The property was clean, the rooms are spacious and everything we need was already there. We will definitely be back. Thanks!

Only I did not like on app said 2 bedroom and 2 bathrooms. This is reason I booked but only 1 restroom available. Even I called 2 days before verify 2 bedroom and 2 bathroom person said yes 2 bedroom and 2 bedroom. But wasn’t

The property itself and the location is what would keep me coming back. They offer the bear minimum, so come prepared to take additional pillows, and towels. The kitchen and utensils again the very basic. Take as much with you for your own comfort. No proper cutting knife, no can opener to highlight a few essentials. Inspite knowing the number of guests, they did not provide for the full number they stuck to four of each. Inside the property wasn't properly cleaned, especially the bathroom.

Location was great for us and there’s lots of shops, great restaurants and groceries easily within reach. Safe, quiet and better option than a hotel for us. Lacks some things, but I’m sure if I’d asked, the host would have accommodated. It’s a basic place to crash if you want 2 bedrooms at an affordable price.

I really liked this property. The lighted pathway with security cameras leading to the unit made me feel safe. It definitely had enough space for my family of 6. The host was very accommodating and responded quickly. A few things, that could be improved on: The kitchen could have been more equipped. Improve on the quality of towels, and provide extras. Having extra pillows. The apartment was not a clean as I would have liked. Overall, our stay was hassle free and convenient and we would stay there again.

Cleaned i like it

I have a great experience, very clean and large rooms. I love the view and garden. But the fire alarm keeps screaming whenever you cook without any smoke, even when you toast a bread.

One of the fan was not working, the owner did not want to change that and give us new fan. Very few pillows and blankets.

Everything was fine

The pics of the suite are 100% from their other suite next door, you can tell cuz the bottom bunk of the bunk beds is on the ground, and not a suitable bed for anyone, and the pic shows a bed off the ground, table is different, placement of bed compared to door is different, couch is different, not sure if this is a mistake but I was def expecting more comfort or at least for the suite to have what the pics showed. No idea why they have no AC, I swear the central air box is right outside the suites window, but it could have been a generator as well, but it was 30 degrees C in there every night, we had to get a hotel the last night so I could sleep in the AC before we had to drive on the Coquihalla again. The people are super nice though, but please Vancouver and area residents who rent suites: yes you are in a moderately cool zone, and no one really needs AC for 10 months of the year, but there is still 2-4 months of the year every year where most people cant sleep without AC units. Great central Surrey location, 15 minutes to White Rock and 15 minutes to all Surrey malls. Suite is super clean and there's beautiful hydrangeas outside. They have a table outside on the patio with an ashtray for those who smoke, I would recommend this suite October through April or May for sure.

Only suggestion more pillows and blankets.

Traveling with 3 kids and my wife and all 5 of us enjoyed our stay. Clean, quiet and had dishes and amenities that we needed. The listing says no parking onsite, but there is ample street parking. Will definitely try to book again and refer to friends and family.

The owners are very accommodating and pleasant. Place is clean and with a cute garden.

The hosts are very accommodating. My kids decided to bring their dog to our flight in a last minute. We never realized that it was in the policy for a “no pets” allowed. We talked to them when we arrived and they gladly accommodate us wtih the dog. Very warm and welcoming.
