River's Edge Retreat

We had the best visit! Scoria was amazing! My son enjoyed his hockey tournament. My daughter enjoyed her 18th birthday and her ice cream cake! Kitchenette with freezer was the best! The whole place is so pretty and that view from the bedroom! I miss it already! The place was clean and inviting! The nearby waterfall was beautiful!

The cabin was so cute. Right along the water. We loved being able to hear the rushing river all night with our screen door open. Such beautiful views too. Great property, friendly staff. We will definitely be back.

Property was well maintained, owner very friendly and river running behind cabin was beautiful and serene.

Nice cabin by the river and easy access to Dutch Lake. Cabin has all amenities needed to enjoy a quiet and relaxing retreat.

Every website you look at, says that all cabins have A/C, which was the reason I booked this place! However, upon arriving on a very hot day, no A/C to be found in the granite cabin… To make my story short, the very unprofessional owner came to talk to us, was extremely rude, said he was appaled we would even dare ask for a partly refund,etc.. I’ve never in my life met anyone like him and felt scared . If he wishes to continue in this business I would suggest a hospitality course. There was obviously bad blood between him and his employees , seemed like a toxic workplace. Tip: buy a few pegs and install in cabin so people can at least hang their wet towels…

Cabine spacieuse, au calme et en pleine nature, bien située pour décojvrir le parc Wells Gray

We stayed at glamping cabins right by the river. The cabin was very clean, very spacious, had fridge and AC. The property is well maintained, washrooms were always clean and hygienic. The area has some good restaurants and smaller local eateries within walking distance. There is a gas station and convenience store close by. The main road is only a few meters away and town center, visitor information center, Buy Low foods are all around 1 km distance. Very good place to stay for tourists.

This place is a gem. We booked the 2 bed scoria suite. The first thing that stands out is the view from the cabin. It’s right along by the river and it’s absolutely stunning. The kitchen is kitted out with all you need. If I was to find one negative it’s the blinds are very light so it’s very bright in morning. Bring an eye mask. Overall, I highly recommend this place

River' Retreat is a great place to stay for a glamping experience. Nice cabins, very comfy bed, clean facilities.

We had an incredible time. Very comfortable cabin and very clean and new washrooms. If we ever come again, we will certainly book for longer. To top it up, we met Sarah who not only was extremely nice as a person, but also saved us a ton of woes when we got locked out of our car. She was able to arrange someone on a Sunday evening in 5 mins! If you are reading this Sarah, THANK YOU!

A very nice cabin. Furnished in a beautiful way with a lovely bed. Felt like sleeping on a fluffy bed of cream.

My husband and I had the most tranquil experience. Everything is in perfect condition.

Great accommodations for an affordable, quiet getaway. Great rooms, staff, and lots of amazing scenery surrounding the area. Will definitely be coming back!

This is our second stay and we love it here. We’ll be back!
