Lovely atmosphere,comfortable rooms and plenty of dining options

There was a spider over my bed and ebs. The balcony chairs were griss. The entry smelled stale snd weird. The food was goid. Breakfasts great and grounds very pretty

Nice. But close to a big road. Full of historical charm.

Good room, very clean!

The service was amazing. The room was cozy and had what you needed. We booked the pricate hot tub room so we could use the hot tub but unfortunately the hot tubs are not able to actually keep the water warm once the cover is remove. Our water went from 104 (when we first got in) down to 96.

The included breakfast was excellent...but our room was "tired". Stains on the rug...battered dresser and night table tops which they covered with clear glass after the fact. The furniture itself was gorgeous Gibbard...shame previous visitors did not respect it.The lounging chairs in front of tv needed a good clean. So wanted to open sliding door but screen was full of holes and a few hornets were lingering between door and screen. The Muskoka/ Adirondack chairs were strategically placed on balcony overlooking fields but they were not inviting as they were covered with mould spores. I was so disappointed as Waring house has been our go to resting place in years past. Their gardens are still spectacular even in the beginnings of frost filled nights.

The room was nicely appointed, comfortable and all staff were very pleasant. Included was a breakfast off their menu, which was very good. The outdoor gardens and surrounding property added to the ambience.

Beautiful property! Room and bathroom were very spacious. A served breakfast was included with hotel fee and was delicious (local produce used)! Enjoyed the stay!

We had a beautiful time at the waring house. You dont even have to leave the property. The free breakfast was very good. We had dinner at the pub. It was delicious. The grounds are beautiful.

The Waring House offers a truly memorable experience, and it starts the moment you arrive. The grounds are impeccably maintained — lush, inviting, and clearly cared for with pride. The staff were warm, attentive, and genuinely invested in making sure every guest felt welcomed and well looked after. We stayed in the Quaker Lodge, which struck a perfect balance between modern comfort and historic charm. Our room featured a lovely balcony overlooking the Millennium Trail — an ideal spot to enjoy a quiet morning coffee or unwind in the evening with a glass of wine. Dining at The Barley Room Pub and Amelia’s Garden was a highlight. The food and drinks were consistently excellent, but what really stood out was the level of service. While we did notice occasional moments where the staff seemed stretched — something a few other reviews have mentioned — what impressed us most was how gracefully and kindly each team member handled it. Their calm professionalism and friendly demeanour turned any potential hiccup into a moment of connection, not inconvenience. Will definitely be back and I can’t say enough about the total experience of The Waring House. *disclaimer, this is a real review from a real unbiased and very happy customer.

We loved the open friendly atmosphere and staff. Enjoyed the heritage setting too. Breakfast was excellent.
