Touchstone Resort

We enjoyed our two night stay at this beautiful resort. The views from the porch overlooking the lake were spectacular. Our room had a full kiitchen and balcony. We would not hesitate to return during the summer months.

Touchstone Resort is beautifully situated on Muskoka Lake. The rooms to resort, resort amenities were all fantastic.

Excellent location, nice stuff and very clean

View of Lake Muskoka was memorable. Kitchen was an added value so we could avoid going out for meals all the time. Conveniently close to Bracebridge. Washer/dryer in the unit was a bonus. Minor complaints were a noisy fridge and a toilet that whistles when refilling. Just a little annoying

Lovely place located on the bank of lake, very quiet and calm place .. you can enjoy perks of nature. Very friendly staff and easy to check in and check out processes.

This resort has been 100% renovated. It is beautiful! The rooms were awesome and we had full kitchen so made breakfast and snacks to save money. The restaurant had wonderful food and Bracebridge has many other options for dinning (The Barrel House was incredible!). It rained the two days/nights we were here but that's not their fault. Wonderful fitness room and hot tub as well.

We arrived and checked in with a very friendly receptionist. We were surprised that there was no information booklet or map of resort supplied at check-in or in our room. The fridge had an ice maker. The tray had defrosted and frozen again in a huge lump and there were a few cubes on top. it must have been there a long time as the cubes smelt and tasted awful so we had to go get ice at the reception building. The door handles of the fridge were dirty and a few other things made it obvious that the room had not been cleaned properly. We cleaned some things ourselves. After a wonderful meal at the resort,we realized that there was no power to lights, outlets or the tv in the bedroom and the window mechanism was broken and could not be opened. We reported both of these things the next morning. The electricity was fixed but we were told that the window could not be fixed. We were offered another room, which we were pleased about, but the bedroom in the new room was inferior to the one we already had. There was a cupboard for hanging things but no dresser, shelves or even a luggage rack for our clothes and other items. We decided to keep our less inferior room that we could not open the window in. Compensation was suggested but the manager said that contacting Hotels.com for this was like trying to get through to NASA but he would try. We are still waiting to hear from him. We hope to hear from Touchstone or Hotels.com about our experience and compensation.

It was great. But the property was not well maintained. A big storm did just hit through the area so some things were not working properly. There was a hot water issue and some electrical was not working. Probably would have liked to be notified about these issues before staying.

Visited with my husband in early spring. Since it was off season was upgraded which was lovely! Desk staff friendly. Since it was early in the season some snow damage noted but was to be expected with the way the winters have been.

Great check in and very happy with our room overlooking the lake.

Quite gorgeous scenery loved it

This is our second weekend stay at Touchstone in Muskoka and enjoyed staying at the property again. Its in a fairly remote location on lake Muskoka so its quiet and serene, an excellent place to get away from city life. There are several outdoor activities even in winter time like pond hockey, snowshoeing, fat bikes etc. Even more options in the summer I'm sure. There is a spa and restaurant on site as well. The condo style units we stayed at have all the amenities of home, even a washer and dryer. Nice little balcony facing the beach on the lake with a BBQ which is nice. The only gripes we had while staying there were, very slow wifi. Streaming a movie at night was impossible. Had to use my mobile data from my phone and worked perfectly after. Still, if you dont have unlimited data, that isn't an option and you would have to watch local tv. The second was parking. They need to assign parking spots for customers so there isn't a battle over parking. There were several times we left for a coffee, bite to eat and activities and came back to our spot stolen and all parking spots filled. This had us parking at a different beachhouse and had to trek through the snow to get back to our room. Lastly, on check-in they tell you there is no smoking anywhere on the property. Inexcusable to not provide smokers a spot to smoke safely. I had to stand on the side of a road, next to the entrance, with vehicles flying by at 80km/h . Otherwise a pleasant place to spend a romantic weekend.

The perfect place for spending NY or just a winter getaway. Very nice and clean resort with a relaxing sauna, steam sauna and outdoors hot tub. The suite had a fireplace right beside the snowy balcony which felt very cozy. The receptionist was very friendly. I would definitely come back.

The stay was amazing, my partner an I went for a winter getaway. Beautiful villa ( poor wifi connection, wifi was tripping in and out tv wasn’t work so that kinda ruined our stay we contacted some one to come an fix the connection for the tv nobody showed up) which turned us off

The room had dead flies all over when we arrived. Had to call the desk to get the room recleaned

Couch is uncomfortable, however the bed was great. Clean, cozy and quiet.

Location, the property is very well maintained, people are very professional and helpful. Grwat experience, be back for sure. Thank you.
