Aquiles Eco Hotel

Concept intéressant, conforme à la description… une excellente option pour un séjour à São Pedro ! Le personnel était formidable, très accueillant et toujours disponible pendant tout le séjour !

The breakfast is the real highlight! The rooms are fine and clean, staff polite and the location 3 mins walking from the beach. 4 mins drive from airport and 15 from Mindelo. It’s a nice place to stay if you value peace and quiet with beach access!

Architecture très bien pensée et propreté impeccable. Une jeune femme très sympa nous a permis de rester à l'hôtel jusqu'au départ de notre avion qui est parti avec plusieurs heures de retard. Merci !

Some of the negative reviews of this property are unfounded. The concept is interesting, industrial chic. The rooms are not actually shipping containers, they are wooden boxes. They are not small or claustrophobic. Some hotels in Europe have smaller rooms. Our room was large enough for a double bed, bag storage, a chair and table. All rooms have a balcony, but only the suite on the top of the hotel has sea views. The hotel was clean, however, Sao Vicente is a very windy island and the hotel has open walls in the areas between the rooms, so it's easy for some sand to blow in. Our shower was the best we had anywhere in Cape Verde. Water pressure was good and hot water was consistent. Unfortunately there's no hook for the hose. The sink was deep and good for washing beach clothing as well. Breakfast is very good and included in the price. The lounge area is spacious and comfortable. Wifi is available in the lounge area. Occasionally you might be able to connect in the rooms, but generally it's only available on the ground floor. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Be aware, Cape Verdeans are often softly spoken and humble, which some may interpret as being unhelpful. Nacky's Lounge is a good place to eat and also the Moreno Beach Club at the other end of the beach. A good location for plane spotting as well. Decide for yourself about the turtle boat trips. You can swim to the location, but you won't find any turtles without locals feeding them.

The staff doesnt really speak English which is fair, i speak English as a third language, but you can still try to communicate kindly with a smile or something. They were unavailable, unhelpful, unfriendly.

Das Hotel ist recht einfach, Möbel sind grob gezimmert. Schöner Meerblick von der Suite, der über die unschöne Umgebung des Hotels hinwegtröstet.

The hotel was good the owner and his staff very friendly and helpful. The location is beautiful, 50 m you reach the beach. The hotel was very clean

Simple et beau, esprit nature

Hotel ist gleich beim Strand, sehr schön. Aber die Zimmer bestehen aus Holzcontainer dadurch ist es sehr hellhörig da auch gleich die Schule und die Ecke ist. Sehr Eco wie der Name sagt. Schlichte Zimmer die aber täglich sauber gemacht werden. Mehrere Restaurants in Laufweite. Morgens immer das gleiche Frühstück leider keine Abwechslung. Für lange Aufenthalte nicht zu empfehlen. 2,3 Nächte i.O.

I booked the "suite" after reading other reviews, and it is a tiny little sweat box up three flights of stairs. Wild to charge so much for so little value. What saved it was the view, which is indeed lovely, and the kindness of the staff.

Fab hotel which blends a beach cabin vibe with Scandi style. The team, particularly Stephen, were very helpful. Right next to a great beach - beautiful but the waves are too strong for yourlng children.

"Un grogue!" Aquiles is a fantastic, warm host in an iconic building in the heart of a cute village with a great beach. Definitely worth staying a few nights!

I had a lovely 2 night stay in Aquiles hotel , the building itself is brilliant, built with recycled materials and the rooms and breakfast area are brilliantly built ! The bed was very comfy and the room had a nice balcony to relax... The staff was great,welcoming and always eager to help...Breakfast could be improved. The hotel is located 10 meters from the beach and right on the main square of the small village of São Pedro.

Dans un village de pécheurs, à deux de la plage, l'hôtel est éco responsable. La réception nous a donné des conseils et très bien orienté !
