Cabañas Henua Iti

This is an affordable option on the island. Staff are very friendly. The only thing to consider is that it is not staffed 24/7, and they are usually gone by 3 pm. The cabins do not have AC, which did not bother us much. They offered free airport pickup and drop off, a car for rent (cheaper than the rental agencies), and breakfast.

Excellent staff, very welcoming. Mary greeted me upon arrival at the airport, gave a tour of downtown before going to the hotel. Also took me back to the airport at the end of the visit. Great experience.

This was an unforgettable experience and it would not have been the same if we stayed annywhere else. We were met at the airport by María Paz and greeted with leis. She was lovely. gave us a quick tour of the town and then brought us to the Cabana. It’s a short walk into Hanga Roa. It’s all down hill about 15 minutes, but it can feel long in the humidity. There’s little food shops along the way. We rented bikes the first day, then a car from the Henua Iti for the rest of our stay. It was seamless. Having the car is a must. They were also very helpful in getting us set up with a local tour guide. I would highly recommend talking to the team rather than booking online prior to your trip. Hannah & Dylan

Poeple is so kind and so supportive, but location is a little far away from Main Street and condition of facility is not so great. Anyway, overall it is worth while staying here in this island.

We loved our week at Cabanas Henua Iti. Tiare, her family and staff are friendly, helpful and kind. The location is on the outskirts of town, but it's possible to walk down the hill and Tiare is there to help arrange a taxi if needed. Lots of things within hiking distance - for reasonably active people. We had booked some guided tours and we also rented a car from Tiare for a couple of days to explore on our own. Their rental cars are easily accessible and a good price. The breakfast included in our stay was delicious and we used the kitchen in our cabana as well. The place has a rustic feel and we enjoyed relaxing on the porch. Rapa Nui is a spectacular destination and the island is very safe and friendly.

This was my dream trip to Easter Island. Everything was perfect from pick up at the airport, the entire stay, breakfast every morning, the owner and employees. All 10/10. We loved our little kitchenette and were able to make lots of meals because there was a refrigerator, range, and a fully stocked kitchen. The breakfast is served every day in the main eating area. Very beautiful and delicious. Our hostess custom-made vegan meals for us daily.

Excelente estadía. La cabaña es limpia y cerca del aeropuerto,5 minutos en vehículo. Lo que es aconsejable es llevar papel higiénico, pues solo ponen para los primeros días. En general hemos tenido una linda experiencia. El personal es muy amable.

This was a clean, simple cabin which was very spacious for a family of four. There was a full kitchen that we could use. Breakfast, which was included with our stay, was delicious and varied from morning to morning. The cabin is also accessible to the town, even without a car. It's about a 20-30 minute walk. However, there are taxis that you can call or hail in the town. Driving back and forth is roughly 5000 Chilean pesos or 5 USD. Most importantly, the hostess was wonderful. She was very clear in explaining all of the amenities and gave us transfers to and from the airport. While taking us from the airport to the cabins, she gave us a brief and useful drive through fo the main town so that we knew where things are.

The property is great and comfortably fit 3 people in the cabin we had. The host is excellent and genuinely cares about her guests. Helping to explain all the best sites and places to eat, which tour guides and rental places to use and questions we had on history of the island. This property is definitely the place to stay if visiting Easter Island.

We loved our stay here! We felt very welcome and were shown a high level of hospitality. It was a nice, quiet place with breakfast included. It was also very affordable compared to some of the other places we researched on the island. We highly recommend Henua Iti and would definitely stay here again if we return to the island someday.

Spacious Cabañas, excellent location and staff Highly recommend

We were welcome by our hostess Tiare at the airport with flower leis and a warm smile. Instead of taking us back to the cabins immediately, Tiare drove us around Hanga Roa to show us where to find good local food, rental car, tours, etc. Upon arrival to our cabin there was a welcome drink waiting for us, in addition to a very friendly dog that was onsite that greeted us and walked us to our cabin everyday during our stay when we came back in our rental car. After we had settled down in our cabin we were on our way walking to the center of town which is about 20 minutes away on foot when Tiare drove by and offered us a ride since she was also going to town. We enjoyed our cabin as it had everything we needed for the stay, especially an equipped kitchen with utensils and cooking pots which made it possible for us to make dinner whenever we didn't feel like eating out. Although some of the fixtures in the bedrooms and in the bathroom were a little dusty and the maid did not give us more soap after it had run out, we still enjoyed our stay due to the great hospitality of the hostess. The breakfast was good and slightly different everyday. Tiare drove us back to the airport for our flight and gave each of us a moai necklace as our parting gift. We had a wonderful time and will stay here again if we go back to Easter Island again.

It’s a great stay. The owner picked us up from the airport, and showed us around the main commercial center. They also provided very good advices on how to tour around Easter Island, helping with local tour booking per our request. The room is quite spacious. Two separate rooms with a living room and built- in kitchen, and private bathroom. We were also welcomed by local pineapple squeeze.

Host was super nice and willing to help us with everything. She booked few excursions and great native dance shows for us. The rooms are spacious, and the kichen has everything that is needed. However, there were a few things that could be better, like more frequent towel changes and a fact that there is only one bathroom for 8 people. Also we had to checkout earlier than stated in the rulebook of the hotel. Overall it was a very enjoyable stay with some minor hickups.

Tiare, the host/owner made my experience in Rapa Nui excellent. Helped me with getting a rental car, restaurant recommendations and securing reservations for a traditional dance show. Extremely hospitable staff. Friendly dog on premises. Breakfast included was basic, but gets you going for the day. A short walk into town - very quiet and peaceful out of the main drag. Kitchen is fully equipped for cooking, however I did not use so cannot attest to its function. Great value for your money. 11/10 would recommend!

A set of four spacious cabins on private land. Breakfast is available at extra cost in a common area. Tiare and family are the most lovely hosts. She collected us from the airport and dropped us off. The location is a fair distance from the town centre, so would best suit travellers with a means of transport (vehicle, bike) or with time to walk. Some problems with hot water, although Tiare's beautiful personality made up for it.

Tuvimos una excelente estadía en las cabañas. Estan un poco alejadas del centro, pero es una caminata de 15 minutos, no mas. Las cabañas son muy cómodas, tienen una pequeña cocina super equipada. Lo mejor de todo fue la atención de Tiare, la dueña de las cabañas. Todos los días nos preparaba el desayuno (delicioso) y atendió todas las consultas y necesidades que tuvimos. Ella es rapa nui, asique para nosotros fue muy interesante y gratificante poder hacerle preguntas acerca de su cultura y la historia rapa nui.
