Magellanicus Rustic Suites

Sara was a magnificent host. We actually stayed here twice; once at the start of our trip, and again at the end. Quick and easy communication, perfect separation for parents and adult children, walkable to everything. And... affordable. Thanks for a great stay, Sara!

Brand new place, very spacious. Sara could not have been more friendly or helpful. A couple things missing that I would have liked. Rooms aren’t soundproofed - if you are on the bottom floor, there’s no way to sleep if upstairs gets up early. Also, while I understand you can’t flush toilet paper due to city limitations, it would be nice if there was a daily housekeeping service to empty the stinky trash. Finally, a TV would be nice.

My family and I had a very cozy stay here for a few nights. We had two rooms, a nice common area and great water pressure in the shower, a treat after an 8 day hike. Sarah was very helpful and was always available to help us

Sara, la anfitriona, siempre estuvo con todo su deseo de ayudarnos. Siempre estuvo totalmente dispuesta a colaborar brindándonos toda la información necesaria. Inclusive, nos ayudó a conseguir tours y hasta gastó de su celular, para llamar a las agencias de turismo receptivo, para ayudarnos. La ayuda de Sara fue excepcional.

Four of us had a wonderful stay at Sara and Rodrigo’s Rustic Suites! An ever warm welcome with a detailed and patient introduction of local culture and history made us feel very comfortable! Sara’s American English (she is from Illinois) made us feel home (we are from California)! Room facilities are very comfortable. Rodrigo’s help with our luggage was also impressive! Highly recommended!!! A small suggestion: Doors squeak a little due to the need of oiling the hinges. Thanks a lot Sara and Rodrigo!!!

This is a great place to stay. The hosts did a beautiful job putting everything together, it was really cute! Perfectly clean and very friendly and helpful hosts. We would definitely stay here again.

We had a great 3 night stay at this location. Sarah and Rodrigo have painstakingly built this home with meticulous attention to every small detail. Sarah is very responsive. When we requested a gas stove and refills for the gas, she gave us everything we need very quickly within minutes. In addition they are great local guides, very helpful to be able to ask questions in English. We'd love to stay again if we visit Punta Arenas

Sarah and Rodrigo are great hosts; their rustic apartments and Suites are right in town at Punta Arenas. The space was good for our family of 3 adults and my son liked his bedroom with a nice bed and a writing desk. They are proud owners of this renovated property in the 1880s hi E and the new units in the back. Both are hard working and responsive making your stay comfortable. We were there on Christmas Eve and Sarah played Christmas songs with her violin, a real treat and made our trip to Punta Arenas special!

Es un lugar muy lindo en el que nos recibieron con gran hospitalidad. La anfitriona es muy amable y respondió nuestras inquietudes, platicar con ella fue muy interesante. Quedé invitada a volver a este increíble lugar. Muy agradable el ambiente lleno de elementos relajantes, lindas cabañas y muy cerca del centro de Punta Arenas.

Amazing place to stay. Safe, clean, cozy and central to most attractions. Host goes above and beyond to make sure you are comfortable. Unfortunately we could only stay one night and it was fully booked for a later day.

Schöne, saubere Unterkunft, Top Service, erstaunlich dass Nachts um 23:00 die Heizung nochmals gestartet wird, besser wäre wohl bis um 23:00 und dann zB. ab 06:00 wieder

It is new and nice decorated two bedroom house. It warmed up when we arrived. It was very nice. The owner was very kind and friendly. She made us feel like at home. There was a kitchen. It was nice. The location was convient to grocery store or restaraunts.

Cute cozy place with friendly helpful owners. Walkable to restaurants, bus station and other attractions in Punta Arenas. Good Wi-Fi, warm shower, comfy bed.

We arrived in Punta Arenas on a very bitter and frustrating note. LATAM lost our bag, which we didn't get back for 5 days with all our gear, Europcar wouldn't rent us our booked car and refused to help us. We were halfway considering dropping a 3 week vacation. Sarah one of the owners, helped us with a local contact for car rental which was right around the block, and were the most friendly and helpful people we could have wanted. She also offered to communicate with LATAM to have our bag sent to the hotel and she could send it to us later in Puerto Natales where we were headed. She is a former tour guide with contacts for day trips up to Puerto Natales. She also gave great tips about local places to go, she responds very fast. She was in the right place at the right time for us and she really saved our trip - even though she didn't have to. It's a small hotel, basic kitchen and you can't flush toilet paper (but that happens a lot in Chile, so nothing outrageous - we have also seen that in Greece). But it's a safe cozy place to stay, and with people like Sarah you are in great hands! Thank you!

This was a pleasant and convenient place to stay. But the most important factor that I have rated it so highly is the care and attention provided by the owner, Sarah. Sarah was a font of local information, she communicated well with her guests and bent over backwards to make sure her guests were comfortable and had a wonderful visit to Puenta Arenas. She really made the stay memiorable and if I return to Puenta Arenas I will definately stay at this property. Thank you

I had a wonderful stay, Sarah was warm and welcoming and nothing was a bother. The unit was super clean and warm and the bed extremely comfortable. The location was close to everything all within walking distance. I would highly recommend to anyone!
