Hotel Villa Del Sol

This hotel and their staff were wonderful! The property is well maintained, nicely decorated and the staff is very welcoming. The breakfast in the morning was also lovely and such a welcome bonus! The room was nice with a small balcony, large bathroom, delicious ground coffee provided and a fridge. The property was very relaxed and quiet yet close to town and across from the beach so perfect for both going out and having quiet relaxing time too! I would highly recommend this property to anyone!

Zimmer und Bad waren sauber, Klimaanlage funktionierte. Etwas störend war das laute Geräusch/Knarren beim Öffnen/Schliessen der Badezimmertüre, Dies ist vorallem nachts mehr als ärgerlich.

Nice staff clean and friendly. Beautiful grounds away from the noise of the town. Would definitely return.

room is clean, amenities good enough but the staff stood out. they were very helpful especially Malyn ( not sure if i spelled it right) but she is wonderful, exceptionally helpful. Juana was also nice and the rest of the crew. however you trained the staff is quite remarkable. i would totally recommend this hotel.. they have a great garden, small pool but clean. This area is quiet. the beach is a short walk with beautiful sunset. Theres a restaurant closeby that i enjoy.

Beautiful hotel . Right across from beach . Small cozy with chickens and monkeys outside . Good breakfast in mornings . 5 minute drive or 20 minute drive to town .

Such a lovely little place. The grounds and pool were perfect. We had a room around the back of the main building - it was only ok, but met our expectations for the (low) price. Breakfast was good. Woke to the sounds of monkeys and rooster. Easy walk to the beach.

I had a lovely week at Villa del Sol Boutique Hotel, travelled with a friend. We wanted to enjoy the sun and relax, it was in the 90's. We had a charming coffee and lunch talk in town, which I highly recommend. The Superior double Room, Garden View was excellent, room has a narrow deck, with large palm tree in front. The gardens around the property are beautiful, and maintained immaculately by the garden staff, Gabriel and Wilfredo. The stay included a fresh homemade breakfast daily, prepared by Marta, Maria, Elizabeth and Marling, which consists of a delicious fresh fruit salad made on site, and fresh eggs and beans and rice, the typical Costa Rican breakfast or any of three other choices. The marmalade is exceptional, made by one of the ladies. We enjoyed chatting with other guests. The coffee was Costan Rican brew, of course. My friend asked, and was given the name of the coffee, and we trekked to the supermarket to get a large bag. We hired a taxi daily to take us to town and back, which was very reasonable.The rooms are small, and cleaned daily by the lovely staff, Martha and Maria . There are many areas inside and by the garden and pool to sit, have a drink. There's even a grill and table to make meals. An unexpected treat were the monkeys and rooster with his entourage. Marin is a Gem, made some changes to my reservations smoothly, and helped us set up the TV to watch the football game. Thank you for making our visit so pleasant.

Stayed in a Super clean room right off the main lobby perfect for our stay. Breakfast was excellent and the coffee was superb. Beautiful grounds and pool area. In a nice quiet area of town. Can hear the waves crashing at night and a roster or two as well in the morning.

Loved this boutique hotel. Our room was very clean and comfortable, we enjoyed the grounds of this hotel- such care and attention to the gardens made it a joy to be there, the pool area has plenty of sun & shade and is also spotless. For our tastes we found the location away from the busy bustling center of playa del coco perfect. We would go back for sure!

The room was spotless, there was hot water for the shower, cold water to drink. The Ac worked well. The breakfast was freshly prepared and delicious.

There is not ocean view from my room, but I love the balcony open to the lush yard. The hotel is very close to the beach, only a few minutes walk, and away from the noise. It is a lovely small hotel with a beautiful yard, chickens and cats. It is relaxing, quiet and feels local. Breakfast is fresh, delicious, and free!
