Refborg Hotel & Spiseri

5 star all the way! Our room was cozy and clean clean clean .The beds were extra comfy with nice down duvets. The staff were so nice and so friendly. Our waitress told us a little about the hotel which was very interesting . The Restaurant was our highlight of our stay .. from the homemade bread and the delicious butter ! I had the most amazing steak with homemade potatoes with glazed carrots and vegetables. I had the best steak I have ever eaten .We can’t wait to stay there again ! And so convenient to get to the airport. I might add there is a grocery store right next door. Thank you for a great experience! Hyggeligt hotel - dejlig mad i restauranten og venligt personale.

Very nice small hotel which is very close to everything in town and convenient, lots of little shops and restaurants within a few minutes walk. It is a very short walk to Lego House and also easily walkable to Legoland. Has a cute store attached. The breakfast food was simple but nice. Coffee options could be a bit better.

The hotel was perfect for a short business trip to Billund. The location is great as it is gives reasonably quick access, even by foot, to all of the offices I cared about, but was away from the amusement park/kid heavy areas, which made working much easier. The food was excellent—both the breakfast buffet, but also the restaurant in the evening. Finally, the hotel staff were, without exception, outstanding. Friendly, helpful, and attentive at every turn. On future trips to Billund, this is where I will stay; no question.

Trevligt hotell centralt i billund. En enkel frukost. Saknade grönsaker och pannkakor. Rummen var rymliga, dock så bodde det silverfisk i lampan i badrummet (flera stycken) det kändes inte helt fräscht.

The hotel is very well located, few steps from Billund city centre and Lego House. The staff is amaizing. Very clean and nice atmosphere. The hotel needs some updates, but overall was a nice experience.

Vi tilbragte 2 nætter på Hotel Refborg i familieværelse med 2 voksne og 2 børn. Værelset var ikke så stort men fungerede fint, med køjeseng og en dobbeltseng. Børnene var fint tilfredse med køjerne, dobbeltsengen var ok. Morgenmaden var rigtig fin og personalet var flinke og venlige. Vi havde fået et værelse uden køjer da vi ankom og receptionen er ikke døgnbemandet. det lykkedes dog at få fat i dem telefonisk omend der var temmelig lang ventetid, da vi endelig kom igennem var de rimelig hurtige til at komme og værelsessituationen blev løst tilfredsstillende. Alt i alt et fint ophold og beliggenheden var helt perfekt til vores besøg i LEGO House.

Aamupala oli perinteinen. Munakokkelia, pekonia, jogurttia, leikkeleitä, hedelmiä yms. Erittäin hyvää ja tuoretta leipää, murovalikoima oli laaja. Henkilökunta oli erittäin ystävällistä ja avuliasta. Sanoisin jopa ystävällisinä palvelua mitä.olen kokenut. Tällä kertaa majatalo oli hiljainen sesongin takia. Huoneet olivat erittäin siistejä ja puhtaita. Mutta... talo on erittäin vanha, talo alunperin 1856. Joten huoneissa ei ole muuta ilmanvaihtoa kuin ikkunat. Suihkut on rakennettu melko erikoisesti, eli meillä vedet johtuivat poispäin viemäristä. Eli lattiakaakelisaumoissa oli jo hometta. Mikäli kärsisi hengitykseen liittyvistä ongelmista, menisin muualle. Hyvä puoli on läheisyys Billundin kaikista palveluista ja ravintoloista. Lego House on vain 5 minuutin kävelymatkan päässä.

Really friendly and welcoming staff! Breakfast included was an added bonus and there was a great selection! Would happily stay here again in future trips for longer periods of time. Thank you so much to all the staff at the Refborg!

Værelserne fremstår lidt slidte - specielt badeværelsesgulv og tæpperne på selve værelset. Det ER sikkert rent, men det virker lidt "nusset" fordi det er så slidt. Men det er ok til prisen. Hotellets personale får til gengæld alle mine stjerner, fra reception til restaurant - alle med kæmpe smil og meget højt serviceniveau. Morgenmaden var rigtig fin - aftensmaden i Spiseriet uovertruffen lækker. God gedigen dansk mad - lækkert tilberedt. Beliggenheden er perfekt - kort til byen, men helt uden larm fra trafik (boede dog også mod gården)

Personalen var helt fantastisk. Hotellet var litet och otroligt mysigt. Bra mat, frukost och fin liten shop. Gångavstånd för våra lite större barn till Legoland, bra med övriga lekplatser i nära anslutning till hotellet. Bra rastmöjligheter för vår hund. Kan verkligen rekommendera detta hotell. Enda negativa var att det ej fanns ac på rummet, endast fläkt. Det var dock ca 30 grader när vi besökte platsen.

Charming hotel, great amenities - loved the common areas. Breakfast was exactly what we needed to start a busy day in the area. Service from staff was excellent.

Perfekt plassering i gåavstand til både Lego House og Legoland. Fint hotel med mye potensiale, men dessverre veldig slitt. Hadde virkelig trengt en oppussing.

We enjoyed a lovely one night stay. It’s very close to LEGO House and within walking distance of the bus stop making it very convenient. The staff were so kind and friendly. They allowed us to store our bags after check out so we could explore the town more before our flight. Great breakfast too!

This was my third stay at the Refborg. In response to other reviews, I can confirm that this is an historic property maintained by a small, dedicated and very friendly staff who know the quirks of the property. Room layout and shower/bathroom size varies with each room. You will have plenty of hot water and great water pressure if you understand how to operate the knobs in the shower. Ask for help if it is confusing. You will have standard Danish beds which have separate bases that serve as the mattress, with a topper. This is the norm, and quite comfortable, but may not feel cushiony if you are not used to it. You can always request more pillows to use as body pillows if you wish. The windows all open in a variety of positions. Ask for assistance if you are not sure how to operate them. Air conditioning is not common in Denmark. In summer, open your windows at night, close the shades for the day to lessen heat. The Refborg provides fans to circulate air for comfort. One day may be warm/hot, with the next much cooler. If you are uncomfortable. know the weather will soon change. The rooms at the Refborg are ample for a single, cozy for a couple, a little more cozy for families. Utilize the community room and lounge area outside it for more play space. A fridge and microwave is there for your use too. If something just doesn't feel right, speak to the staff. I have gotten to know many of them well and know they will always do their best to help make your stay feel like home.

The staff there were very kind. We appreciated them sharing what is around them because it was our first time. We still have more to see so we'll book here again.
