Garden Suites by Meliá – All inclusive

Very quite, beautiful and spacious rooms, very clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful, señor González was excellent. I didn't like that they didn't have much activities. It felt dry, it felt like it was nothing to do after the pool close.

Everything was great - service was also good - wish there was more restaurants, and the ones that are available aren’t open all the time. - the buffets should have more options, they basically serve the same thing everyday. Wish they had an option for something authentic rather than having food we get in the states.

This property is very nice and very cozy because is not too big but comfortable for couples, families and groups, due to the space to walk in natural surroundings between the pools, spa, Mexican restaurant . Also the staff is very friendly, knowledgeable, caring and helpful people. The Mediterranean food is very good to maintain healthy during the stay. For my husband and me this is the key of success for this resort. This resort was inaugurated by Rafa Nadal the Spain tennis player. Give this all inclusive hotel a try and you’ll see how it works.

My family has been coming to this hotel for around 17 years when it was The Reserve.We were aware they remodeled and were excited to experience the hotel again. Except we were very disappointed. A few things below… -Concept - Seems like the hotel has a more “relaxed” concept except the execution of it seems more “cheap and unsophisticated” than “relaxed”. -Check-In - Given the concept, as soon as you arrive, you do self check-in via a QR code. This was the first impression and was not smooth at all. -Music - Back to the concept. The music is REALLY loud across the resort where you can’t even concentrate and read or do anything. I think they can play the same music just a tad bit lower. -Food - Quality of food has declined significantly. -Service - Quality of service has also significantly declined. You have to ask for things several times, half the time they forget or bring you wrong things and zero attention to detail. Angela and Chef Rodrigo are EXCELLENT -Staff - Some of the staff is really nice but some are rude and talk bad about customers to each other in spanish. Also, not professional and say bad words etc… -Rooms - The rooms are really nice and big. We had two connecting rooms for a family of 4. We did have to call maintenance twice, once for the air not working and the second time for the toilet. -Beach - The beach use to be at Paradisus which was fine but now it’s on the other side of the beach It is a shame that this has changed so we will not come back to Zel.

Lo positivo: Las habitaciones son bastante amplias, modernas y muy cómodas, con detalles premium, hay una cafetera, minibar con snacks y bebidas, cama king, jacuzzi, televisores, un reproductor de disco (a la antigua, no se como se llama) y un baño espectacular y espaciosa. Todas las instalaciones son nuevas y bien cuidadas. La calidad de la comida es superior, con un desayuno variado que incluye jugos naturales, mariscos frescos y una buena selección de ensaladas y proteínas. El almuerzo también ofrece opciones variadas y de calidad, con mariscos y carnes bien preparadas. Las actividades son enriquecedoras y diferentes: sesiones de HIT, aeroyoga, tour en bicicleta, y actividades artísticas como pintar una greca de café que luego te puedes llevar. El personal es muy amable y servicial, siempre dispuesto a ayudar. La playa es hermosa, aunque está un poco retirada del alojamiento, pero hay carritos que pasan cada 10 minutos para facilitar el acceso y regreso. A mi esposa y a mí nos encantó (somos residentes en República Dominicana, y vamos con mucha frecuencia a punta cana para descansar), y este definitivamente está por encima del promedio. La verdad el concepto de este hotel nos gustó mucho, al tener el sello de Rafa Nadal que promueve un estilo saludable y buena vibra. Lo negativo: El room service no estuvo a la altura. Probamos 3 platos y ninguno fue satisfactorio. Recomendamos comer en el buffet o en los restaurantes del hotel, donde la experiencia es mucho mejor.

Las habitaciones y calidad de la comida.

Me hicieron pagar una tarifa extra fuera del precio comprado en expedía y en el check out uno de los seguridad de manera ruda pregunto si ya había hecho el check out…. Les falta coordinación y entrenamiento al personal del counter y supervisar los protocolos del personal de seguridad. Muchas dudas en personal administrativo con el sistema.., buen hotel pero no me volvería a exponer a este tipo de situaciones ni tampoco lo recomendaría.

Property was beautiful. Plenty of pool and beach chairs for everyone. Good classes. Average food. Great staff. Pool is great. Beach club awesome. All inclusive was convenient. More food options would have been nice.

This property clearly has teething problems as it’s still new. The property is pretty and clean. Although we were very disappointed with the food. The Japanese was terrible. The sushi was premade and not fresh. The buffet the food seemed to be recycled over and over again. The beach bar had limited options for vegetarians and the seafood was not fresh. There is no reception desk so hard to connect room service etc. Also the staff spoke limited English so it was very hard to communicate when making requests. Tables took along time to clean. I would recommend that you would be able to use the other restaurants in the other media properties.

The Property was great, you always see staff working in every area like the garden, the pool and around the the hotel area. The restaurants are always clean lots and lots of room for everyone to sit and enjoy even near the pool. Property is great! Our welcoming experience was also amazing, everyone had an smile and ready to assist.

Staff was very attentive and helpful. Our concierge, Junior, went out of his way to help us have the best vacation. He helped even on his days off with support from Carlos, another concierge.

Standard of service was not what i was was expected. Most staff did not speak English. Property was immaculate but service and food was at best average. Also no after dinner activities. Good fur quite and peaceful stay.

Beautiful property and great staff. The only problem we occurred constantly is the front desk, bartenders and waiters never had any change and they couldn’t break bills. This is the only resort that I have experienced this and it is to bad because a lot of the staff depends on the tips and if you can’t break up bills, then you can’t tip the staff.
