Hotel de la Paix is a fantastic hotel; supremely well located in terms of being close both to the city centre and the main railway termini; and very good value. The staff were incredibly welcoming and very helpful at all times. I could not find any fault with the room, the bathroom facilities or any of the other amenities. The beds were comfortable and the late check out time was a real bonus (12:00)! Strongly recommended and I will stay at Hotel de la Paix if I ever visit Lille again.

Room was clean with comfortable bed . Location great in centre of Lille - short walk to stations and shops but room was very quiet. We appreciated the fan in the room as very hot and also late check out at midday was great! Would definitely stay again. Great value for money 😊

Pas d eau chaude de 20h a 23h.aucune excuse de la part du directeur le lendemain matin a part me réclamer la taxe de séjour que j avais déjà réglé la veille.accueil plus que mitigé c est dommage.de plus très peu d intimité car la nuit nous entendons tout bébé qui pleure comme utilisation de douche ou autre.

Friendly and helpful staff. Very nice boutique type hotel - really nice theme running through hotel. Lovely old fashioned stair case with decorated themed landing on eac floor. Spacious, comfortable rooms with big bathroom including a bath. Comfortable beds. Breakfast very good. I felt very comfortable there. The location also perfect. Would definitely like to come back and stay again.

So central, everywhere walkable, which was the main reason to book here. Had old world charm but not keen on leaving our key behind the reception desk every time we went out especially as came back to the hotel a couple of times to find the desk not manned so anyone could have taken a key knowing the residents would not be in that room. No additional chain or bolt on the door which would have made us feel more secure & no safe which would be fairly cheap add ons. The 2 buildings that were attached to the hotel had collapsed recently due to water damage from the canals running under the city, must have been scary for the occupants & hotel residents at the time. We were not aware of this until after we’d checked in & probably wouldn’t have booked had we known as a worry what structural damage there might be to the hotel itself.

Das Hotel ist in die Jahre gekommen, das Zimmer war klein. Aus dem Nachbarzimmer hörte man viele Geräusche. Leider waren die Nachbarn nachtaktiv. Die Lage zum Bahnhof und zum Zentrum ist super.

Surprisingly unseasonably hot during visit. Understandably there was no Aircon (beautiful old building and not used to such temperatures) but very rude receptionist refused request for a fan. After first night (no sleep) I left and moved to another hotel. They asked my friend (who was staying) why I was leaving, she explained about the fan and heat and they said, of course we have fans and provided one immediately. Shocking service in what I thought was going to be a truly memorable stay in a beautiful hotel. Other receptionists were better, but I was unable to stay in the hotel in the heat. Service at Ibis (replacement hotel I booked in to) was perfect. Real shame. Also tried to persuade us to go to breakfast when it wasnt included in our booking - hard sell implying it was included when wasn't, so beware. Reception unable/ unwanting to give restaurant recommendations - just go outside, there's restaurants everywhere! Unhelpful & rude.

Breakfasts were generous and fresh. Staff were friendly and helpful. Room and linens were clean. The hotel was just off the main square so super handy to restaurants. Front staff helped me find parking for my rental car. We'd stay here again.
