Great base in Paris for a quick visit between 2 train trips. The area is very convenient and has lots of great restaurant options. The staff at this hotel is all very helpful and friendly. The woman at the breakfast area was also very welcoming. The breakfast itself was filled with wonderful hot and cold options. The bread and pastries were fresh and delicious every morning. Great gem and find! We will definitely be back, and cannot recommend enough.

We were never so pleased to find 24/7 service when at 2.00 am we crawled in to the hotel after a horrendous journey. Once in we got an air conditioned room (30 degrees at 2.00 am), a comfortable bed and good sound proofing. Very close to Gare de Lyon so perfect for onward travelling. What more could you want.

The Palym was such a cute hotel. It was clean and nice. The breakfast was great. The staff was so helpful with all our questions and calling a taxi for us. It was located in a great area. We will for sure stay again.

Nice informal downstairs lounge area and breakfast room. Most of the reception staff were friendly and helpful; one , however, had a real lack of social skills--not ideal for the job of welcoming and facilitating.

We had a very pleasant one-night stay at Palym Hotel. The hotel is in an excellent location near Gare de Lyon train station, which made it very convenient for traveling to other cities by train. The receptionist was warm and welcoming, kindly accommodating our early arrival and assisting with luggage storage before check-in. We also appreciated the helpful commuting recommendations provided during our stay. The room was clean and comfortable, and the overall atmosphere was cozy and convenient for travelers. Would definitely recommend this hotel for anyone staying near Gare de Lyon!

Highly recommend this hotel! Literally half a block from the train and metro station. Very conveniently located. Many restaurants around. Very quiet in the room even though it is located within a busy main train station and street. The breakfast is also very good. We will return to this hotel again!

First the good points - brilliant location for Gare de Lyon, literally a 2 minute walk from the station concourse to the hotel door. Our room had clearly been refurbished relatively recently and on the whole looked quite smart. However, a few not so good points. We certainly didn’t get a warm welcome when arriving at the hotel and the guy behind the desk was fairly abrupt. Maybe it’s just a sign of the area, but you have to buzz to ask the front desk to open the front door for you, and the reception desk is then hidden behind glass panels - maybe all this is just a throwback from the pandemic but the overall effect is that you feel you’re arriving at a very budget hotel. The room was tiny, even for Paris. To give an idea, the bathroom was so small it was physically impossible to sit on the toilet and close the door. Breakfast was OK but was nothing special and quite limited. Given the ridiculous prices hotels generally charge in Paris these days this hotel probably wasn’t too overpriced for what you get, and was fine for a quick overnight stay. I wouldn’t want to stay for multiple nights but if you were in Paris for longer you probably wouldn’t be looking to stay around Gare de Lyon area anyway.

Upon entering, the lady working at the front desk was amazingly inviting and nice which was super comforting. The hotel lobby and my room was updated and clean. Had a small elevator so we didn’t have to carry bags up the spiral staircase. You could hear other people on their rooms talking a little, but it wasn’t enough to be bothersome. This hotel is in THE BEST location if you plan on using public transportation, especially the rail and metro which is definitely what I would recommend. I don’t actually know where you could possibly park if you got a car. This hotel was in a good location to not be terribly far from anything you’d want to see. It does look directly out to another tall building though so don’t expect an amazing view, but we didn’t spend a ton of time in the room anyway. I did not have the breakfast, so I cannot report about that. I would definitely stay here again.
