Les Sources de Cheverny

We chose this hotel as part of a family holiday, having enjoyed previous stays here. Unfortunately, our most recent experience fell short of expectations. We were required to change rooms due to a very unpleasant odor coming from the bathroom. While we were moved to an upgraded room, which thankfully did not have this issue, the cleanliness was noticeably lacking. There were remnants of used dental floss on the counter, and the overall condition of the room felt untidy, and the TV not working — disappointing for a hotel of this standard. That said, we’ve always appreciated the hotel’s welcoming atmosphere, and one big positive is that it’s dog-friendly, which makes traveling as a family so much easier. We’ve had some great stays in the past, but based on this most recent visit, we’re unsure if we’d return.

Really beautiful eco friendly property, though it is not in a location that you can easily get to. I’d recommend renting a car when staying in this property. Spa should be booked ahead of time as it was fully booked during our stay. Need at least 2 days stay to enjoy all the amenities, and get the feel of the place. Room is nice and clean, though I don’t believe there is ventilation in the restroom.

This place is absolutely magical!! From the beautiful room to exquisite property and superb service!! The restaurant was amazing as well!!! I highly recommend staying here!

From the moment you arrive the service is impeccable. Our room was clean, spacious, charming and so peaceful with a serene view. We had breakfast and dinner each day and both were outstanding. Excellent location close to vineyards, Blois and Orleans. Bike or take a run on the beautiful grounds or take a peaceful walk through the Forrest. Perfect for dog lovers. Book early for the spa as it is so well done with a variety of excellent services. Don’t forget to save room in your suitcase for local wine, honey and Caudalie!

We really enjoyed our stay here. The room was comfortable, the dining at the Michelin star restaurant was exquisite, the access to the chateau was wonderful, and seeing the farm animals was a pleasant surprise.

One of the best hotels I’ve stayed at! The property was beautiful, the staff were hospitable and the food was incredible. It was such a cool experience staying in a chateau. Although the chateau was old, the rooms were renovated with modern amenities and clean. We loved taking advantage of the amenities such as the spa, pool, bikes and tennis court. All of our meals were great and I appreciated how they used local ingredients and wines. The Michelin star restaurant on site was amazing. Would definitely like to visit again!

Friendly and responsive staff

This is one of the best hotels I have ever stayed at. From the moment we stepped foot on the property we had attentive, professional service from every single staff member. The property itself is breathtaking with open areas of nothing but wildflowers. The restaurant is fantastic, every option on the menu is delicious, and again excellent service. The breakfast buffet is amazing and worth leaving your room for. The room itself is the most calming space I have ever been in. I slept more than I have slept in years. I was able to get a deep sleep and the beds were perfect. Our room opened out to a vacant field area and it was so quiet I could just sit and watch the sunset. The spa was wonderful as well. I plan to go back to utilize more services there. We booked the spa a bit too late and the appointments had been taken already. But I am happy to have a reason to return. They have numerous bikes that are complementary that you can use to bike into town and see the Chateau. The ride is easy. I was the most relaxed I have ever been, even my husband noticed. I was so checked out that I even forgot my passport at the hotel and had to come back. Of course, the amazing staff had located it and had it ready at the front desk. Great job to everyone who works there! We LOVED our stay. The property is gorgeous and I will go out of my way to return.

5 star experience of elegance, confort, and service! Delicious restaurants, beautiful surroundings with history and nature at its best. We were sorry to leave after two nights. Will plan to come again!

Habitué des hôtels. C est la première fois qu’on me demande de payer en option l’accès au spa (piscine hammam) Que je paye pour des soins c est bien normal mais payer 45 euros pour aller à la,piscine alors que la chambre coûte près de 300 euros. Cela me paraît surréaliste

Excelente local limpo bonito e organizado. Estacionamento no local e localização excepcional no Vale do Loire. Restaurantes excelentes - frequentamos os dois. Atendimento e disponibilidade da recepção muito bons.

Overall a very good place to stay if someone is visiting Loire valley, driving is pretty much a must to visit this chateau but on site free parking was great. Restaurant can be hit or miss we had dinner two nights there, first night was fantastic but second night food was drastically poor but we ordered the same dish.

Relax in understated comfort at the Sources de Cheverny Well appointed room with comfortable bed. Outstanding cuisine in the Auberge Restaurant.
