La Villette Hotel

I like this hotel for its location in peaceful St Martins, which is convenient for both the airport and St Peter Port (walkable in 30 and 60 minutes respectively, or catch the bus). It is also close to picturesque coastal walks, and 15 minutes from my favourite bay, Petit Bot. My second stay here got off to a slightly shaky start, as it appeared my reservation was not in the system; this resulted from the receptionist mis-hearing my name and failing to ask for clarification or ID. Once this confusion had been sorted, I found my room to be spacious and clean, especially the bathroom. The tea/coffee facilities in the room, including a small teapot, were appreciated (but see later). The dinner menu was quite extensive (from memory the same as last year) and good value. Breakfast, included in the price of accommodation, also provided a good selection with hot items cooked to order. I have to mention that I seemed to be sharing the room with some electrical gremlins. On my second night, reading in bed by the bedside light, all electric power to the room went off. As it was 11pm I decided to go to sleep, but in the morning the power was still off. I spoke to the manager (I believe) after breakfast, and she was aware of a problem affecting my room and a couple of others; there was a possibility I might need to change rooms later that day, but in the event I did not. A problem persisted though, and I was unable to use the kettle for the remainder of my stay.

Nice location and clean , modern room

Worth every penny. Was pleasantly surprised. From the room, restaurant, amenities, location, everything was great. Special shoutout to the staff - amazing group of hospitable, friendly and professional individuals. Booked my next stay already 🙂

Overnight staycation with the wife. Nice swim and use of the re-vamped health suite. Nice evening meal with a couple of drinks. Always enjoy staying over.

Another lovely overnight stay at La Villette, great swim and use of the jacuzzi / hot tub. Nice evening meal and next morning breakfast in bed. The facilities are being renovated, including the health suite, and a nice new smell in our room of new carpet and paint was a pleasant surprise. Highly recommended.

Considering I had booked a budget single room and was expecting a small box room I was blown away . Nice sized double room breakfast included amazing value..the staff were lovely the girls in reception particularly helpful.. would definitely stay again

Attractive hotel with good breakfast options and flexible eating and drinking options during the day. We particularly appreciated having free use of the 25m leisure pool, and being able to catch the bus into town or round the island so easily.

Für eine Nacht auf Guernsey gut geeignet. Die Bushaltestelle befindet sich direkt am Hotel. Neues Fitnessstudio mit vielen Geräten, in - und Outdoor Schwimmbad mit Dampfsauna. Frühstück gut. Man kann wählen zwuschen jaltennund warmen Speisen, englischen und kontinentalen Frühstück. Einrichtung typisch Englisch. Einrichtung etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Für kurze Aufenthalte zu empfehlen

My husband and I had a great 4days here. The staff were helpful and friendly. The indoor pool was lovely if a little warm in the area. The outdoor pool was very handy as two of the days were really warm. Overall, we were very pleased with this hotel and will definitely stay there again as we have family in the area.

A peaceful location near to beautiful coastal walks and beaches. Convenient for both the airport and St Peter Port (by bus, or walking if you are reasonably fit). Clean and comfortable room and bathroom, plentiful supplies for making tea/coffee. Good value for B&B (breakfast cooked to order) and quite extensive menu for evening meals. I enjoyed my short spring break here, so much so that I've already booked for next year!

Lovely indoor pool and steam room

Zimmer gut eingerichtet, sehr sauber, bequemes Bett, schönes Badezimmer, sehr ruhig, gute Lage, top Frühstück, freundliches Personal, sehr gutes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis. Älteres Gebäude aber die Zimmer waren vor nicht allzu langer Zeit renoviert. Es gab nichts zu bemängeln

Overall very good impression. Service and food were very good. Good value for money.Room was a little bit tired with furniture worn, curtain pelmet detached and bathroom floor missing some grouting. Staff all very friendly and efficient.

Breakfast offered a wide range of cereals, fruit, full English cooked breakfast, fish. Excellent coffee machine and toaster, all served in a spacious and comfortable dining room and the staff were all very helpful.

Unfortunately the hotel is getting tired. The bed and bedroom were past their best. We got the stunning view of the kitchen roof, and when working it's smells. The bar is one for locals, and has meat raffles, well attended, raffle over, it's empty. We only ate once there, enough said. There's better (recorded by locals) in a short walk. Shame really, could be a great place.

Wonderful stay during my trip to Guernsey. Spotlessly clean, good breakfast and dinner menu, comfortable bed, lovely staff. Had a great time.
