It was midnight when I arrived at the hotel and was informed that the establishment doesn't have any affiliations with Expedia. This news came as a surprise because I booked the reservation with Expedia for approximately $45.00. I was informed that the room would cost me $60.00. The room was lovely though it didnt have any hot water. I appreciated the hotels openness to extend my stay past the check out time in which I paid a bit extra. All in all nice location from the airport and rooms were well maintained.

The property was convenient for Cheddi Jagan airport and good value compared to hotels in Georgetown. The hotel was helpful in arranging transfers to and from the hotel. The aircon in the room did not work initially but the staff solved it.

I had stayed at several affordable options in Georgetown the previous week and since I had an early 3am flight back to the U.S. I decided to stay at Ms. Holder's Villa due to it's close proximity to the airport and I couldn't have made a better choice.
With clean rooms, mosquito bed netting, good plumbing and water pressure for bathing and even a snackette on the property this was easily the most comfortable accommodation I stayed in over the duration of my visit in Guyana, and Ms. Holder is one of the friendliest and most helpful people I had the pleasure to meet. Even though I had such an inconveniently timed flight so late at night Ms. Holder took it up on herself to give me a ride to the airport in place of the usual taxi she arranges. True hospitality in every sense of the word and I wish I had spent the majority of time staying here instead of Georgetown but Ms. Holder will be my first option now when returning to Guyana in the near future!

When I arrived to the Holder’s I was told that I did not have a reservation. And If I wanted to stay I would have to pay in cash. I mentioned that my reservation was booked online via Expedia and that I had my reservation email. I was then told that Holder”s was not affiliated with Expedia. I was taken back to the airport by the taxi driver and left there with no place to stay. It was an awful experience..

Ms Holders Villa was a great place to stay. Ms Holder was extremely helpful in arranging a personal tour of the area with a local guide, helped me get to the airport very early in the morning and she and Mr Lyte were wonderful conversationalists. Ms Holders staff had a nice breakfast ready in the mornings and were able to wash some clothes for me. Great location away from the city with a nice little bar next door for some good beers and food.

Everything was exactly like. Advertised. My flight was very late. Staff was deligent in being there for me even though I was unavailable to contact them. Very greatfull for this. If not I had no idea what I would have done at 1am in a place that I was not familiar with
